"Double Dip Outer Rim Rumdrop"
Haha am not a chef but this just made me laugh when I read that. Good job devs why not just call it "Double Dip Outer Rimjob"? ![]()
Just have to mention a note on the bazaar issue. Folks, I'm not sure what some of you are doing, but I cannot keep up with the buyers. Once you have established your client base, the bazaar is completely worthless. I started a simple shop with my low level goods called "Tile's Pet Food" (I can hear the groans of the chefs now). As people came to get crap for their pets, I started handing them a sample of better foods (and introducing them to Tat Sunburns). Whether it is pet food, mind buffs, tat sunburns, there are a lot of customers now aware of our job and what we can do for them. Getting the bazaar thing over something like the factory which KILLS our larger end financial prosperity is beyond me.

Some of them already come pretty close to that. So I dont think that is the best solution.
Not at present, no - but that might have to do with the fact that some spice (Neutron Pixie?)is about 1000 points for 800+ seconds. Think about that for a moment. 1000 points of increase, in one dose, for 800 seconds. What -food- even comes close to that?
Unless the effects of spice are severly modified in duration, there's no way you're going to sell foods in any real quantity. Why buy (which impliespay for) three items of food when I could purchase one unit of spice, and get a bigger effect for a longer period of time?
The situation iscurrently rather out of balance - and that's the point I was trying to make (and address) with the suggestion I proposed. The numbers are purely relative and fictitious - I'm not a chef, and I don't have exact information to compare(And I've only seen the spice once too, while we're on the subject, but I was struck by how much mor powerful it was thanfoods.) - but you do have that information, because you ARE chefs.
So grab the info on themost powerful and highest duration foods - how many points of increase and for what durations? Can they even attempt to compare to spice, as things currently stand, or was my point valid?
Experimented Tattoine Sunburn does. Without experimention it starts at +1500 to both Strenght and Stamina, at 370 seconds or so. Experimented it goes higher.
Meaing that by your numbers, I'd have touse twomeals of it just to get the same duration as I've mentioned. Admittedly, the effect is better for the food, but I also can't say whether the spice I saw was representative, or even any good at all.
Have you guys asked your smuggler friends to show you the best they can produce to get some sort of comparison?
What he suggested was:
Food: moderate buff with long (like hours) duration.
Spice: powerful buffs with short (15 minute) duration with strong side effects.
Medicine: in between the two with buff and duration, moderate side effects.
And they were all stackable.
Now playing the game, i would think that medicines would be the most popular and outsell us all, but I like the compromise for food and spice.
As far as scouts, what I would like to see is that they forage less food, but there is other things they can forage...like items to make their traps more effective or stuff they could sell to the junk dealer.
To answer my own question:

Neutron Pixie: +1000 Health, +200 Strength, +200 Constitution, +500 Action, +50 Quickness, +50 Stamina for 13+ minutes.
Could be used to save you from being incap'd, as it modifies health AND action, as well as the supporting attributes for those pools. Taking a dose of this stuff before a battle would make you a heck of a tank, and make it easier to wear the armor you need to survive.
Unfortunately, that doesn't make the answer as straightforward as I'd thought, regarding its comparison to foods. My apology for my haste.
