You get the schematic from artisan (Domestic Arts IV). It's called Light Food Additive

No it ain't. You need a Light Bio Food Componant, to be able to make Light Food Additive.

This is getting even more confussed by the minute

After you find these, be sure to turn them into Light Bio Food Componant by combining them with water in a factory.

As higginsis said you need micronutrient suppliment from a BioEng as that is lightfood component.

Corret me if i am not right.

Ooook. Let's start with the basics.

TERMINOLOGY for basic, artisan foods:

"tissue" - Something a Bio Engineer makes that can then be purchased by a chef, and turned into an "additive".
"additive" - Something a Chef makes from a BE tissue, that can be used to enhance the nutritional, duration, quantity, or filling of foods and drinks. Notice that the previous sentence says "or", not "and".
"micronutrient supplement" - A light food biological component "tissue" used to enhance nutritional value.
"light food biological component" - A light tissue made by a BE. All of the following are "light food biological components": micronutrient supplement, hyper yeast additive, carboreductive catalyst, multisaccharide dimate. Generally, a "micronutrient supplement" is used to enhance the nutritional bonus for artisan foods, but as mentioned, there are other types of tissues available to enhance different attributes.

HOW DO I TURN A TISSUE INTO AN ADDITIVE?:

In order to turn the tissues obtained from your local Bio Engineer, into additives that can be used in foods and drinks, you must have the draft schematic for the particular kind of additive you need. If you purchased micronutrient supplements from your BE, you will need Artisan: Domestic Arts 4 in order to craft the additives. By following the draft schematic, you'll notice that you need 10k of water for a full batch [which is 40 crates of 25 (1000 individual items)], in additition to the tissues. The quality of the water does not matter, as it is a component. You will never need quality materials to make ANY components.

BLOB CANDY CALLS FOR "CARBOSYRUP". DO I NEED HIGH QUALITY INGREDIENTS TO MAKE IT? (COMPONENT INFORMATION):

No. Again, the stats of resources being used in components are completely irrelevant. You can use resources with perfect stats or resources with stats of '1' across the board, and the result will be the same. For chefs, THIS APPLIES TO VEGHASH WHEN MAKING VEGEPARSINE. If you are crafting veghash for use as a component, resource stats do not matter, there is no need to experiment, and you DO NOT need an additive - you would be wasting perfectly good additives for nothing. If you are crafting veghash as a food to actually be consumed, you will want to use an additive and experiment fully.

ARE ARTISAN FOODS WORTH CRAFTING?:

In a word, yes. The nutritional bonus they provide will generally be less than that obtained by a chef food, but the duration and filling of the artisan foods more than make up for the slight difference in the bonus.

HOW MUCH SHOULD I CHARGE PER CRATE OF (insert name of product here)?:

This is, by far, one of the most popular questions, and the answer is always the same. "Check around on your own server." When you see this, it's not that anybody is trying to be rude of unhelpful, in fact, it's quite the opposite. All server economies differ from one another, and while the differences between some are small, some servers are very inflated. The best way to determine how much you should charge is to take a look at all of the other vendors selling the same items. Find a vendor with items that are on par with the quality of the items you're making, and price in the same range. If you undercut, you'll not only make enemies, but you'll likely burn yourself out in keeping up with production. If you overprice, you'll be sitting on a pile of overpriced stock for a very, very long time. There will always be people on both sides of the pricing fence, but you'll find that most successful chefs and artisan food crafters have found a happy medium.

Repeatedly edited for early morning grogginess.

Well, it gets confusing because there is more than one kind of light food bio component. The main one used is the micronutrient supplement, but they can't only call it that, because there are also 3 others. The micronutrient, or MNS as they're usually abbreviated to, is just the most popular because most items don't need quantity, duration, or filling bonuses.

If you want to experiment with different types of tissues (Assuming you can find a BE to make them) then there is an FAQ on them on the BE Forums...available...Here

The total confusion has been solved

Micronutrient Supplement IS a Light Bio Food Componant. So basically when it says it needs a Light Bio Food Componant, this is just another name for Micronutrient Supplement. Tried it today so I now know whats going on

You should really check FAQS first but here you are...

Grind Soypro until you can start making Kiwik clusjo swirls or Thakitillo (The deserts line), whichever is easier for you and grind away to master.

This forum needs some good guides on crafting food; it's the only crafting forum lacking tutorials/guides.
