In answer to my own question just increase the pause before the /ui action toolbarSlot

Just worked it out like a minute after posting (theres no delete button)

Anyway if anyone is having the same problem as me try that.

I've been using this macro religiously, and it has worked wonders!

My concern is, (occasionally) the macro takes the ingredients, doesn't grind anything, and doesn't update my xp!

I noticed the following... the macro fires up, I select the ingredients, it gives me the "crafting session has ended", no number shows up above the tool (the countdown timer) and no XP was given. When the macro fires up again, there is less ingredients.

This happens almost all the time in player cities, occasionally in certain spots in Theed, Naboo (radiant server) and if I have been grinding for about 2 hours. Anyone else seeing this?

I did experiment with pauses in between commands to slow it down. This helped fix other issues, but not the missing ingrediens/no XP bug. I once ground for 1 hour before I noticed I had not received any XP, and that REALLY sucked!

ShrewLWD, based on the frequency that same thing happens to me, I've always assumed it was due to critical failures. You just don't get a crit fail message with that macro.

I was a commando/CH when I got a holo telling me to master chef.
The wastril bread/ithorian mist route has been working the best for me. Working on the cooking line so I don't have to change my macro every box.
The schematic selection should just count food schems, since that's what tool you'll be using. I normally do my grinding in a camp, without a crafting station. This allows the slow healing of wounds if you were hunting, and you can sample while you grind. The ultimate in multitasking :-) Replace some of the resources while you're using them.
I haven't done any factory runs yet, I haven't been that far ahead on resources. Has anyone figured out if it's worth it? What's the cost/benefit for usage xp vs practice xp? I guess if I get ahead on resources I'll give it a try.

If you are just grinding, then it is not worth it. In fact, don't bother with the factory at all if you are grinding. You are suppose to get 10% of the experience you would normally get with a factory, but that may be broken and if it is not broken then you only get the experience when you are standing near by while it is running.

If you are looking to make a prophit or run your own cantina or something, then the factory is a good investment.

This may be a stupid question but...

I hunt with a regular group of people that are willing to eat my produce just so that i can get the usage xp so im just wondering would it be worth my while actually making the items and not just practicing or am i missing something out?

Is there possibly someone out there that knows the grind from Domestic Arts 4 to Novice Chef? I would like to know the schematics, resources and macros to use here.

From DA3 to Novice Chef I used the same macro as in the parent post of this thread, making casual pants. They take 16 fiberplast and 4 metal each, and give 43 exp on practice. I think in total it was only 2-3 hours of macroing (don't quote me on that, I lose track of time easily), but it took me 2 days because I used harvesters to get the materials.

I don't know about you guys but crafting hide boots is getting me 94 xp per craft session (practice). Given you can get this kind of xp before you even get to novice chef. This might be a better option. It costs 25 petrochemical and 20 hide per session. This is looking like a better option, even over Wastril bread at 73 xp per craft session.
