Oh you're definitely right but I think Jedi deal with ED the most. I PVP alot and have only been hit with ED once.

But when you do get hit, it SUCKS, especially since the rest of your team is moving around with fr1-like speeds (if you got a SL using form up) and your crawling around like a snail for 2 mins. All PvPers need to get this drink.

it's instant effect. you take it AFTER you've been snared and it "cures" it, then makes you immune to the CM snare for the remaining duration of the food.

No offense, but how is a 2min snare that is instantly able to be reapplied not imbalancing? If they reduced the duration of snare to be in line with other snares I'd be fine with the removal of rancor aid. This response reeks of the BH side of you speaking.

ahh, ok. I loved Electro-drain when I was MCM, but it WAS pretty imbalancing. And it's not like there aren't many CM's running around.

But, then again, I can hit a CM with crippling shot for the same affect + damage. Doesn't last as long, but it's there, and with terrain neg (not affected by pub24) I still have a bit of an edge over a non-BH CM...

still, I'd like to see that time go down a bit (say to one minute... that seems fair)

Its not imbalancing because of the high MIND cost involved. If the cost was reduced along with the duration then everything would be fine but they didn't reduce the cost.

No its been confirmed already. Rancor Aid ONLY works against ED and was intended as such. All other snares work just fine.

Yes, this was implemented due to Jedi whiners, not carbineers or riflemen.

They should have left it back when it was percentage based.

Let's also not forget the fact that you have to be within 8 meters to apply it.

Colored and bolded for emphasis

True enough, but let's be serious. How many non-BH CMs do you know? LoL... The biggest reason people incorporated CM into their templates, Pre-CU, were the diseases and mind DoTs that could then be exploited with rifleman Mind attacks. With Acklay Venom poisons or a good mind disease you could literally drop a fully templated player in a matter of seconds, I know most veterans have seen it at least once.Post-CU Combat Medic is no longer a recipe for "Griefing Made Simple and Easy," but many people continue thatunfortunate tradition by taking CM purely for the combat debuffs, which arestill nasty and in the case of askill like Electrolyte Drain, badly imbalanced and easy to exploit.

I have to wonder...how do the Devs think we Carbineers are supposed to feel "unique" and "crowd control themed" whenour most useful special (Crippling Shot) is completely outshadowed by a skill from a profession that also gets every kind of debuff in the book, AND can HEAL ITSELF? ED should definitely be nerfed to bring it into balance with other snares in the game, but Rancor Aid will do for now. Hell, gives my Chef alt something else to make money on.
