Given the revamp of combat im not sure how this will affect me, but at present I use fishcrack a lot to counter gold downers and a few other mind foods. Of all the foods mentioned I dont see any that replace fishcrack or some of the other food favorites.

Here all this time I thought my gold habbit would get me checked into rehab and on a better diet of foods after the chef fix. Turnsout Ill have to keep on the drugs and go and beaneroexic, lol.

I will miss the tat sunburn/muon and the dr. buff/muon/fishak combos. When i can't get dr. buffs the tat sunburn was a decent substitute. My question is why are they putting in the chef changes in before they change the combat system?

Well, at least you will have a proper hat and apron.

Is there anyway we can update this list with the resources required? I'd like to be ready once the changes go to live, instead of scrambling for resouces.

I've been updating a spreadsheet with the new schematics, effects, Filling/duration/buff/quantity ranges (where I can get a couple of data points with experimental percentages), and some other stuff.

The html version is here:

The source xls file is here

Hmm, looks like I'm still missing the resources for bantha butter. Anyone got that?

OK no one has said what happens to the old items once the patch goes into effect will they still work? or will they be worthless and nothing more than an item to sit on the shelf and look at??

Thanks for the reciepe page. I was wondering if you had the percentages taken from each resource's stats toward the final product.

By this i mean (example):

33% Flavor

66% OQ

This info would be greatly appreciated and would allow me to tailor my resource gathering and purchasing to the patch.

Thanks

No offense.. IMHO this looks more like a complicated distracting sugar coated Nerf then an upgrade revamp.. I don't see this as fixing the chef profession, but only changing it's broken colors.. Exchanging one broken line up for another that has been sugar coated isn't acceptable..

Again it looks like the biggest issue, which stands the same as before is the stomache refill timing.. This was the biggest problem with pre-revamp food and looks like will be same post-revamp.. What about foods that have delayed effects that take up stomache values??

A group of us friends that have played since launch arecompletely disgusted with this game and what's wrong with it.. We all have expressed our concerns that this game has turned into more of a job then entertainment.. However, we have waited for changes, and forced outselves to keep playing waiting for the new fixes upcomming.. IF publish 6, turns out to be another Timesinking Nerf, and adds NO content to the game, SWG will loose another 4 accounts quickly..

This is the last straw for me and others.. The chef fix better be a FIX, or I and friends will just cancel.. We have already been playing another game elsewhere and just buying our time on SWG, but there is no sense in paying for accounts you no longer enjoy to play..

Please, how can you call this a Nerf when the Chef profession hardly had more than 4 good productsthat were decent enough to use?

The Chef profession should have at least an equal buff capacity as Doctors. The buffs stated here are horrable and not worth the stomach space to use. Oh wait, pets are going to really love the new Chef's. Guess thats the dev's way to apease the CH's Nerf.

Yes I'm a bit bitter. I justdropped Master Dancerfrom myMaster Doc/Dancerbuff templateto pick up Chef because for one, I thought It would finally be a fun and useful class to play allowing more versitility than jsut buffing, running around for 2 hours killing nonstop, rince, repeat and 2, giving me a fun crafting class to set up shop with. Imagine my horror when I read this post. Way to give the better buff classes even more of a lead. I'm speechless in my disapointment.

Welp, time to grind my way back up to Master Dancer.

Oh, by the way, before someone advises me to stick it out. I was a Droid Engineer for over5 months. I stuck that out to no avail and will never ever do it again. I will not make the same mistake twice.

Please do not take offence.

I think this is great for the chef profession and I (and my customers) are VERY excited. I've already had regulars mailing me with their wish lists so that I can have crates ready when the changes go live.
I want to ask though ...

1.) When these changes went to test center, did allexisting crates of food take on the new properties or retain the old properties?

2.) Did the quantities of the existing crates stay the same or come out bugged and have only 1 in a stack?

3.) Are the ingredients for the recipes staying the same or becoming more specialized like the weaponsmith schematics?

4.) When are these changes due to hit? I will be ceasing business 4-5 days prior to this revamp so as to minimize my losses on items that were great sellers and concentrate on resources and advance orders.

Thanks in advance for any answers.

Thx Vimes for the speedy response I can't wait for this to go into effect. Sooo many months all of us chefs have been waiting for this!!

Everyone enjoy the weekend.

Needless to say I'm going to steal and stockpile all fishak on my server now!

Just looking at this really makes me want to cry. My boyfriend just did the chef profession for his holo grind, and it was horrible then, but we made crates of fishak to compensate. Now...we'll see how chefs feel after the patch goes live. I'd hate to have to put chefs on my list of People Who Get Handouts, but it's looking more and more like you guys are going to need it.

Again, I'm sorry guys. If you want a test subject/ generous soul on the Tarquinas server, look me up!

Love always, from one buff profession to another.
