I've stocked up sunburn on both my vendor, and the bazaar, and had a total of about 6 sales today at 400/600 per stack(I charge 200 per use, not per stack). And none of the people have bought more since. I offerred them mass discounts by tell's as well. It may just be it doesn't sell on lowca, but at the moment things are pretty grim.

If I could get away with selling for 800 per use, I assure you I would do it, since I currently have no competition.

I forgot to point out. I have 3 harvesters working reactive gas, and I have a surplus of 3K reactive gas after only one day, and I can easily pump out 100 sunburns in an hour(once the factories have made the component starshine's). There's no point to me doing this though, as I cant sell anywhere near 100 sunburns a day at the moment. I think that by pricing them at 400/600 I've struck a reasonable balance between the amount of resources I use on them, and the number of daily sales. If demand goes up, I'll increase the amount I sell, and the prices.

Well, I just sold 20 stacks (67 uses) of sunburn earlier for 9340 credits, since I was giving reduced prices for buying in mass... the buyer was a dancer, and I believe this is one of the biggest markets sunburn caters to. And last I checked entertainers dont make much money either, unless they choose to run missions... I guess I'll raise my prices a bit, but I'm gonna keep it lower for entertainers

Yea, please do. If you can can still sell them for 3000 a pop, go for it. It really helps newb like us. It makes our drinks that sell for 200 worth the price.

I think my prices are in line with the low end of what people here have posted. I use to tactics to price my stuff:

1) If I put 6 Ruby Bliels on the bazaar and they all sell out in an hour, I raise my price the next time I put them up.

2) If I'm not sure what the market will bear, I will make 4 to 5 items, then sell each at a slightly higher price (such as 40, 80, 120, 160) to see how high people will go. If the item sells at 160, then next time I'll price them at 160, 180, 200, 220 and see what happens.

this is what I charge. 2 times the number of ingredients. I experiment with the food, if it comes out with 3 or 4 servings, I stay with 2 times the ingredients, if I get 5 or 6 servings I add 10 credits to the price, for 7 or 8 servings, I add 20 to the price.

Hehe looks like I'm charging too little, cheapest prices so far. I usually charge by resources and my most expensive items areTeltier Noodles which are 60cr and Jawa Beer which is 60cr as well since it requires wooly hide.

Well I believe 2 creds a resource for food is way too low in price. I usually charge 4-6 creds per resource (depending on rarity of resources).

Teltier Noodles (5 uses) 225 creds

Jawa Beer (4 uses) 150 creds

Wastril Bread (4 uses) 200 creds

Never hada problem selling any of it on the market yet, but then again I'm on Chilastra where it seems there's tons and tons of chefs so the local population is aware of food benefits.

I play on Intrepid.

I am on Rori and everything out here is rare.

I have been charging 100 creits per use for Air Cakes and getting them.

We determine the market. We make the food. If people want it or need it people will pay.

There are people that are running around making 10k an hour. While i sit there baking over and over.

I won't sell my food for anything less than what I could have made from selling the ingredients separately.

I'm currently making 6 credits each on bone and hide, 1 each for rice, and 3 for steel. Thus, I won't sell a "Jawa Beer" for anything less than 10 hides @ 6 + 10 steel @ 3 + 10 rice @ 1 = 100 credits. Needless to say, no one is snapping up my Java Beer at 100 credits so I'm not making a whole lot and am just selling raw materials to people who are hell-bent on power-skilling and paying a premium for raw materials.

At this time, many of the components used in food/drinks are too valuable in the market to be used in food as the value of the parts is greater than the whole.

Cheers,

Jonzun

The way I see it, powerskilling a chef early on is an investment. Sure I have to run missions still(nowhere near as many as I did before I got sunburn), but the way I see it, once I'm done, I can quarter the number of my harvesters, kill off one of my factories, and turn a tidy profit, while catering to my PA's needs.

People wont agree with my view on things, and I'm sure some people dislike my 20 harvester 2 factory style of play, but with it(annoying resource resets excepted) I should be able to get a new skill box near daily.
