Well, Tiggs locked the original thread on Kettemore saying that it was "investigated by CS and isn't happening."

That was a great waste of everyone's time. My +432, 47 min brandy still seems so unsatisfying

Yeah, I saw that too. So fantisy was an attention monger. I'm still curious about whether it was a straight hoax or an exploit (and hoping any exploit is fixed soon).

My personal opinion (without any confirmation by devs) is that they're going to wait until after the CURB, and see how food with the current tissue enhancements work in the new systems before adding the "uber" data enhanced tissues.

My guess on how it'll show up: repaired data disks. Anyone know whether a repaired datapad is multi-use, or if it get's used up with each disk read?

Also, this guy was clearly an idiot from the start- he's afraid that the CSRs will see the serial number? He must not know that CSRs can log into any account and do whatever the hell they want with it when he's not around. All they need is his in game name and there you go.

Also, anyone know how datadisks can be repaired? I looted a Recovery Software thingy today...it says it's a one time use thing, but I have no clue how to use it or if it's even related.

Well, I'm not going to touch the CURB stuff (I live in fear of the NDA), but I can talk about this part.

The loot revamp that hit with pub 12 included "datadisk repair kits" to repair corrupt datadisks and "datapad repair kits" that can fix broken datapads. Put a repaired datadisk into a repaired datapad, and you get something. Right now, that something is some in-game fiction (along the lines of the "patrol report" you can loot in space), but there's no reason why the research data couldn't also be a possibility.

Datadisk repair kits require a corrupt datadisk, recovery software, magnetic reader, magnetic burner, and wiring (all looted components). The datapad repair kit requires a battery, backlight, connector, and a "broken datapad" (also all looted components).

There's a nice layout of new loot kits/schematics here: http://raxusprime.tripod.com/table2.html

One thing to think of here. What if he got a critical success on experimentation. That would allow you to experiment over the max. I did this on a weapon some time ago where the Max should have been 380 with the componets/resources I was using and I was able to experiment it to over 430. Just some food for thought.

True on that thought, but he would have claimed that instead of what he did. So this leads us to believe this guy is a liar.

There was a timespan of about 1 day or two where that behaviour was in the game, that an amazing success put you above the maximum, but I'm not sure if they would have allowed you to experiment past 100%.
And 100% for brandy is 240 i think. 100% for MFA is 90%. Together that makes 456 Brandy, not 544.

that behavior was revoked after one day on live

Yeah, but this idiot on Kettemore's point was that he found Secret Research data for his additives that would make BSNs cap at 115 instead of 90. Still wouldn't hit 544, but that's the part thatmade him an idiot
