Thread: General Opinions, Complaints and Suggestions.
Damnit, it was hard enough getting my chef business on its feet, and now that I'm finally starting to get somewhere it all changes for the worse. **edit** my bad luck. They messed up CH right after I mastered that, now chef. Tip: nobody follow me in my chosen professions.
I have some complains though as well:
With Decay Resistance now counting in, about 9/10th of my existing ressources get degraded statistically. A heads up in an earlier stage of development would have saved most likely frustration. On the other side I like it, that more quality determining factors count in now. So in the long-term it is something welcome. Maybe this may be taken as constructive critiscm for other profession updates. If someone gets a ressources-shift, they should no it somewhat more in advance.
I saw recipies depending on shock resistance. Thats something I dislike, it was said, the drink changes would be made to take any non-bio stats (=all, but flavor,PE,OQ maybe DR) out of the food experimentation. To some degree the above point applies here es well, but I think the shock ressistance goes a step further. With Container-Subcombines in other professions, and shock ressistance counting nevertheless, I miss any advantage in this part of the change.
Missing own experience with master products on test, I rely on other posts, but I agree with Ezran (about 2 posts above mine), the efficiency curve should raising more towards master chef, than in his example.
Finally, could someone, who is able to do so time the production time of one Breath of Heaven, including subcombines for a container that wields between 15-20 items, so we can compare the times a bit better?

There are now options to make things uber with the addition of kegs and additives...but uber will be rare.
HOW Uber, SirVimes? I'm still skimming the boards trying to figure out something that you'd think would be one of the first things tested:
How many uses (or percentage of uses) are there in a barrel? Is a barrel of Breath of Heaven going to have 15 uses, 20, 25, 30? For the number of resources used, I'd expect the uses on a Barrel to have nearly 50 uses, but I'm pretty sure the devs aren't going to be that nice.

Spices will still be a better alternative due to timer issues and production time. Doctor buffs STILL last LONGER AND BUFF MORE!?!?!?!
Don't focus on the stat buffs. You can't compete in this arena (though people will use the secondary buffs in particular if they don't have easy access to doc buffs).
I think the unique effects is where the business will be at. I can eat food that reduces the damage I take? I can eat food that increases my experience gain? I can eat food that ups my creature harvesting? This is great stuff.

Tell that to the customers who have been supporting you for months.
All I see so far is more RL time and more effort going into producing less product with lower profit margins.
Time will tell, but this thread was created to voice complaints, opinions and suggestions.
I have complained and offered my opinion so far. As of this morning though, I have no suggestion other than elimination of the major dependence on BE and tailoring products. It should be optional and not required. Seems more like requirements currently.
Side note...
When devs make changes like this in games, they are often done in a tunnel vision where there is litle to no time to make a major change. I have said it before and will say it again...
THEY SHOULD HAVE TOLD US ALL OF THIS MUCH EARLIER. We could have had all the discussing done already and gotten right into testing once the publish was ready for testing. SV is not at fault in any way. Just wish they would have taken off the **edit** gag order.
This should be called the BE/Tailor Revamp and the destruction of the chef class revamp.
My first complaint is that we are now completely reliant on BE's, Tailors, and some of us Master Artisans.
Every item that I have seen includes a subcomponent we can't make.
Longer factory times.
New resources we will have to go out and harvest, and with DR and who knows what else, a good portion of our best resources could now be useless.
My other toon is a master ch, and I have been one through every ch nerf. So far I am far more disgruntled about what's going on with this revamp then I ever was with ch nerfs. I have a more complaints, but I will leave it here and hope that the devs go back to the table and rethink a lot of these changes.

3. EXPERIMENTATION: After experimenting with Aitha for a while, I can't see that the experimental formulas are working on Test Center any better than they are working on live. Has any one actually been able to get these formulas to work for food or drink?
I think food/drink experimentation is working as intended. I haven't actually calculated any numbers, but if I choose ingredients with the intention of getting the most nutrition, I get the most nutrition.
Not happy at all with this whole Container stuff. I pride myself on being my servers top chef, and therfore im expected to make the best food and drink. I wont be able to do that without making Kegs. And now i have to get Master Artisan again and replace some of my food factories with equipment factories. Just so i can make drinks.
I tell you what, the stats on the Master level stuff better be **edit** good.
