Damnit, it was hard enough getting my chef business on its feet, and now that I'm finally starting to get somewhere it all changes for the worse. **edit** my bad luck. They messed up CH right after I mastered that, now chef. Tip: nobody follow me in my chosen professions.

PORR*: content

I have some complains though as well:
With Decay Resistance now counting in, about 9/10th of my existing ressources get degraded statistically. A heads up in an earlier stage of development would have saved most likely frustration. On the other side I like it, that more quality determining factors count in now. So in the long-term it is something welcome. Maybe this may be taken as constructive critiscm for other profession updates. If someone gets a ressources-shift, they should no it somewhat more in advance.

I saw recipies depending on shock resistance. Thats something I dislike, it was said, the drink changes would be made to take any non-bio stats (=all, but flavor,PE,OQ maybe DR) out of the food experimentation. To some degree the above point applies here es well, but I think the shock ressistance goes a step further. With Container-Subcombines in other professions, and shock ressistance counting nevertheless, I miss any advantage in this part of the change.

Missing own experience with master products on test, I rely on other posts, but I agree with Ezran (about 2 posts above mine), the efficiency curve should raising more towards master chef, than in his example.

Finally, could someone, who is able to do so time the production time of one Breath of Heaven, including subcombines for a container that wields between 15-20 items, so we can compare the times a bit better?

From the look of it on the surface,I will be very displeased in general with these changes.

Spices will still be a better alternative due to timer issues and production time. Doctor buffs STILL last LONGER AND BUFF MORE!?!?!?!

Adding a requirement of components from another elite profession to MY MASTER SCHEMATICS is unacceptable, even if it is an optional component to the final recipe.

Show my where any other Elite profession has this burden on a master schematic.

Every chef will be required to be a master artisan with Tailoring as a dabble in order to TRY to be even mildly self sufficient. We will still require BE products to produce stuff that people will demand. I get to guess too how to go milk a Kaadu or a Wrix. Do I look like Gaylord Focker form Meet the Parents?

"Old crates" are borked now and will become useless once this patch hits. I will take my 11 million credit inventory of goods and tell my customers to use it all now and dont save it because it will be useless soon.

While I appreciate the creativity put into all of this, the actual implementation looks poor from this chef's point of view.

Two thumbs WAY DOWN from this Chef currently.

HOW Uber, SirVimes? I'm still skimming the boards trying to figure out something that you'd think would be one of the first things tested:

How many uses (or percentage of uses) are there in a barrel? Is a barrel of Breath of Heaven going to have 15 uses, 20, 25, 30? For the number of resources used, I'd expect the uses on a Barrel to have nearly 50 uses, but I'm pretty sure the devs aren't going to be that nice.

Don't focus on the stat buffs. You can't compete in this arena (though people will use the secondary buffs in particular if they don't have easy access to doc buffs).

I think the unique effects is where the business will be at. I can eat food that reduces the damage I take? I can eat food that increases my experience gain? I can eat food that ups my creature harvesting? This is great stuff.

Tell that to the customers who have been supporting you for months.

All I see so far is more RL time and more effort going into producing less product with lower profit margins.

Time will tell, but this thread was created to voice complaints, opinions and suggestions.

I have complained and offered my opinion so far. As of this morning though, I have no suggestion other than elimination of the major dependence on BE and tailoring products. It should be optional and not required. Seems more like requirements currently.

Side note...

When devs make changes like this in games, they are often done in a tunnel vision where there is litle to no time to make a major change. I have said it before and will say it again...

THEY SHOULD HAVE TOLD US ALL OF THIS MUCH EARLIER. We could have had all the discussing done already and gotten right into testing once the publish was ready for testing. SV is not at fault in any way. Just wish they would have taken off the **edit** gag order.

My previous post didn't appear. I don't think the changes were implemented very well, but aside for the general problems there are several specific things that bother me:

1. COMPONENTS: Components no longer have experimental qualities. I don't particularly like this, as part of the challenge of being a chef is finding great materials for your components (such as the Aludium Pu36s).

2. PRE-PATCH FOODS: Pre-patch foods apply correctly and stack correctly, although they don't appear in the monitor window. However, the filling data was not adjusted to account for the longer stomach decay time. For instance, pre-patch Aitha took 18% of you stomach before (about 4 minutes) and takes 18% now (about 11 minutes). I can already imagine the reactions of customers who have bought crates of Breath of Heaven. Not only do they need to take all the drinks out of the crate before the patch, but now each serving will take over 40 minutes to clear out of their stomachs, rather than 15.

3. EXPERIMENTATION: After experimenting with Aitha for a while, I can't see that the experimental formulas are working on Test Center any better than they are working on live. Has any one actually been able to get these formulas to work for food or drink?

4. ALCOHOL: When chefs wanted lower factory times, I doubt they wanted the three best alcohols removed altogether. I thought the different alcohols were the best part of the Mixology line, and willl be sorry to see them go.

5. BUFF TIMER: I actually like this little timer. However, clicking "show" in the option menu hides the timer, while clicking "hide" shows the menu.

Is there any time frame for when this will appear on the live servers? Even a vague idea (i.e., one month, two weeks, 3 months) would be helpful, as I don't want to be stuck with too much Breath of Heaven that fills you up for most of an hour.

One more thing: What do the "Filling" numbers actually represent? I initially thought they represented the percent of your stomach that was filled. However, when I looked at the schematics thread, flameout said "101" for filling!

This should be called the BE/Tailor Revamp and the destruction of the chef class revamp.

My first complaint is that we are now completely reliant on BE's, Tailors, and some of us Master Artisans.

Every item that I have seen includes a subcomponent we can't make.

Longer factory times.

New resources we will have to go out and harvest, and with DR and who knows what else, a good portion of our best resources could now be useless.

My other toon is a master ch, and I have been one through every ch nerf. So far I am far more disgruntled about what's going on with this revamp then I ever was with ch nerfs. I have a more complaints, but I will leave it here and hope that the devs go back to the table and rethink a lot of these changes.

I think food/drink experimentation is working as intended. I haven't actually calculated any numbers, but if I choose ingredients with the intention of getting the most nutrition, I get the most nutrition.

Not happy at all with this whole Container stuff. I pride myself on being my servers top chef, and therfore im expected to make the best food and drink. I wont be able to do that without making Kegs. And now i have to get Master Artisan again and replace some of my food factories with equipment factories. Just so i can make drinks.

I tell you what, the stats on the Master level stuff better be **edit** good.

yea well, breath of heaven got nerfed looks like. 1 use and 250 buff? please... Im so totally disgusted after seeing that I dont even have the heart to log on...Im on but I want to log off...and how am I supposed to feel about selling crates to people knowing its all gonna be 1 use stacks after the patch. Or maybe I should take all 500 of my crates for sale and pull the stacks out of every one of them and load it on the vendor just to be aPITA to the database. Its unacceptable. Its totally unacceptable that people have spent millions on food and what used to be 475 drinks that they paid good credits for are being reduced to 25 drinks. Or am I supposed to pull crates off of my vendor since they will be worthless after patch, which of course they wont bother to tell us when they plan to patch cause well they never freaking do. "Oh my if we are day late, theyll get mad atus, lets just destroy all their stuff in an impromptu fashion".

I posted on servers board warning them about the possible ramifications of buying crates. I guess I need to go make all my vendors ad bark warnings now to. Then I can go read a book or something cause I **edit** sure dont feel like playing.

Hey Nikki, I can imagine how you feel, but dont distress too much yet. Its only been less than 24 hours. Lets give it some time and see what happens. I have over 40 crates of BoH right now being made, so I really hope this is not a serious problem as well. Im hoping that this patch does not go live for AT LEAST 3 weeks. I really wish there were character copy
