Well, sometimes the master chef cannot provide. When you are dealing with supply and demand, there is also the supply part.
You can make large glasses without any components from other profession.
There are now options to make things uber with the addition of kegs and additives...but uber will be rare.
I already put up equipment factories, have 20 crates of trim, and enough resources to make barrels. I will most likely never make large glasses only barrels or casks.
Control units will be run tommarow.
Pain in the butt!

I have 2 concerns, that I would like to know about, both dealing with the 1 hour stomach decay.
1. If you die, does that clear your stomach? If not this is going to suck royally Yes, it does. Here is a question, though...do you really want people dying just to clear up their stomachs? The probelm I have...if you die the buffs go away too.
2. If a food takes up 100% of your stomach but only last 15 mins does that mean you have 45 mins where you can not be buffs? I know this is an extreme example but you get the idea. yes
Does anyone have any confirmation on the decay effects?
Small glass:
10 Gemstone
5 uses
Large Glass:
100 Gemstone
7 uses
This isn't what I had in mind when they said containers will affect quantity.
This may belong in the bug post though

This deals with both answers,
This is just my opinion as someone who stands to make a profit, and someone who uses(ok addicted) to food. If I die I expect the buff to be cleared, and my stomach so I can rebuff myself. I want to have a dependable buff source. If my buff runs out by either death or timerI want to rebuff,, like doctors can.
Another problem I see, from the profit side of the coin, dealing with the fact that someoen can onlyuse food and drink1 time an hour. How many times an hour did people drink fishak? I know I would go through several charges an hourduring hard combat. So if they can only use 1 chargean hour then that means that our repeat sales is going to plummet, and people will see our foods as an undependable buff source. Maybe I am wrong, and I hope I am, maybe I am missing something.

Ok, I'm really not happy with this one. Doctors make 1 hour buffs that can load every hour. Most of our old foods had stomach times which allowed you to retake after it ran out (8-10 minutes, it's a hard think to figure out). Are you sure that the stomach isn't 100 units big, with the belly emptying 2 units a minute? That seems much more reasonable.

I understand your point, but alot of people will use their drink/food for just two or so buffs. For example a pistoleer, at least when I was, would like alot of action and its secondaries for specials. So although you can mix and match, it will still be lower than a doctor. What makes chef food so good, and expensive, is that these buffs can be used more than once and whenever. A doc buff may be higher but it requires a doctor to be present. The limit should be lowered to allow the player to choose when he feels he needs to use the buffs. If a buff lasts for 10 minutes and has a 50 minute cool down, chef food will lose popularity and barely be worth the credits to purchase.
Still, lets see how all this turns out, the new patch has been out for less than a day.
Each does Approx +40 for 30 minutes and does about 10 filling.
So you can have 400 TOTAL to all stats for the full hour (40 * 10 to fill stomach * 2 stomachs / 2 times/hour)
That's total to all stats. Nasty.
Hopefully there's something better in the chef tree.
But then other buffs last 50 minutes to an hour....and they will over lap.
I am torn on this issue myself. I will go with the majority.
+180 focus for 38m with filling 33
Compared to:
+40 mind for 38m filling 10
This may be premature since focus is a secondary, but 4x effectiveness for 3x filling is not much of an advantage for chefs. Master artisan could likely do better primary buffs. You'd just have to take more.
Whilst they make factory food make faster, they add in another step which makes it take longer in the end, total BS, aswell as increasing item counts.
Not only are we expected to have cantina's and a food factory, taking up 6 lots, now we need an equipment factory (MA's will NOT supply those components in the quantities we will require, getting MA parts for an architects to make a city hall was a nightmare), meaning we are left with 3 lots to harvest MORE materials than previously :/
Yes, barrels wont be mandatory, but can you honestly see people wanting ANYTHING but barrels ? Once again, Chef gets Chafted.
Keeping up with demands using only one factory atm is impossible, now we will need at least 2.
I say make Cantina's have built in food factories and crafting stations to at least lower our lot outlay, or make a Cafe building that is 2 lots.
I love the container idea, but making it harder for us to craft what is already hard enough, is taking the p***
I will have to drop merchant to take some tailor & Master Artisan, as it took me 2 weeks to find a tailor to supply a crate of synthcloth, never mind crates of trim.
I cant test on TC, as I dont have any skills there, I was hoping char copy would be up, or some form of resource supply to grind on (Im willing to test skill progression, but Im not harvesting the resources for a 3rd chef), as I want to see the full resource list (thought metal/rads were going ? ) - if our resource count has grown, then it is total and utter stupidity :/
Im trying hard to reserve judgement until we've seen what everything makes. But so far I have to say.... n/m I cant find the words to say what I want to say. Tho bull crap might be a good place to start at least about what we've seen.
Yay me, I gave my equipment factory away a week or two ago after being assured we neededfood factories to make containers.
