Yes it will.

You and me fight. I win, but you shot me once in the head for 649 damage, leaving me with 1 hit point.

Two minutes later your overt friend shows up.

Do I:

A) Have 150 mind pool built back up because I only have 200 Willpower and regenerate slowly
or
B) Have all 600 mind pool built back up because I ate a food that gave me +1000 Willpower

Regeneration helps the winner recover in time for the next fight. If regeneration isn't helping you, then all you're telling me is that you have never won a PvP battle, ever.

yes shield generator..

you wither carry 50 of them in your backpack

or have not actually used them and don't realise after they are used once its gone and your waisting 3k every time you get hit once..

as for wearing armor ... I gues you own a full set of Composite , because its the only with high enough armor rating to absorb Carbine or Riffle fire which have a armor piercing of 3..

What has an AP of 3? Don't say the T21, because while it's supposed to be AP 3, the Rifleman forums are all up in arms about tests demonstrating it's AP 0.

Even against AP 3 weapons (if there is one), having AR 1 is better than AR 0. Furthermore, composite armor is still AR 1, no personal armor goes above AR1. Adding layers does not increase AR. Better armors can have higher deflection percentages, not better AR ratings. The recent armor guide presented by the developers says this.

And while shields are fragile, I find that when used in PvP they last quite a long time if you keep a good repair kit on hand. I know from experience, not from what I read in the General Discussion forum.

But we're getting off topic, you're too busy being defensive to admit you're wrong. Why is it so hard for someone to say, "Hey, I didn't think of that, you're right."

devs say alot of things

go look on the armor crafters board on the post about hidden armor factors

they have done tests that show

bone armor with energy resistance of 28% gets hit harder then a padded armors with 4%

which the devs in there own report they just posted on the main page says a well crafted set of lower level armor is beter then a poorly crafted set of high level armor which is untrue

One thing you should learn from playing online games is don't always listen to what the developer tells you .. Dont trust the patch note till you've tried it yourself

Armor right now doesnt list all its defencive properties its a bug or a hidden feature to make higher level armors beter

no I win lots of them

I shoot you first for 1399 damage you die

if you pvped any you would know it was all about that first shot

if you dont die in that first shot I have a medic healing me anyway who would heal me faster then I regenerated.

the only good regen buff in PvP would be willpower which is mainly because it cant be healed

The tests from the armorsmiths show that armors have hidden properties for particular values, not higher AR ratings which would make them better at everything. So while poorly constructed padded can deflect more "blast" than it says, itwill be worse than better made, lower level armors for other types of damage. The exact hidden values aren't fully known yet.

We'll know a lot more after the big patch, when we can see the damage type of each weapon. For example, one pistol does heat damage, so Chitin and Tantel don't block it but Mabari (made by a Novice Armorsmith) does.

Um...fellas? (Rebl and Pec) You're getting a bit off topic

Reb - you're idea ofa "meal" is brilliant...though not new (seen it mentioned a few times on the chef forum.)

SirV - if you're still reading to this point, could you add that to the wishlist (future, future expansion for our class!)

Cheers,
