So if you added a /ui action to your combat macros:

/unarmedlunge2

/unarmedkd2

/unarmedhit3

/unarmedhit3

/unarmedhit3

/ui action (take a swig of brandy)

/unarmedhit3

then that would keep you full topped up all the time. I would not begrudge sparing a moment to take a swig that was needed but does anyone know whether taking a "You are too full" swig costs you time in combat?

Tapping it manually whenever there is a lull is of course an option

Wow, when I first started hearing about the changes I was complaining nerf left and right, but now I have full confidence in this patch. I can't wait. Sir, Your "Teh 1337 Ch3fz0r".

I'm sure that part of the reason stack sizes seem to be a bit lower is precisely to curtail ridiculous buffs.

'Cause, honestly, if those BoH's were a stack size 17....

I'd really hate to be a monster in this game.

BristaAB, that would work, but there are a few things to take into account:

1) Eating/drinking goes in as an action on your combat queue. So if you had two unarmedhit3's queued up when you hit the drink toolbar slot, you wouldn't drink until those two attacks had finished.

2) I'm not sure how fast non-attack actions get done, so I'm not sure how much of an interruption a full message would be.

3) You do realize that you'd be going through a lot of drinks to keep that going, right? And even if a barrel is 5x dosage (I don't know that anyone's checked the barrel multiplier since the hotfix), you're still only going to get....well, ok, a brandy would come out with around a 30 dose stack, but barrels look like quite a bit of pain, and the cost of that will have to be passed on to the customer.

4) I'm not sure if it's just me, but there seems to be some lag between when I'd calculate being empty enough and actually being able to eat/drink without getting a full message. There was an update today, maybe the testing I did last night isn't valid.

A better setup might be to have a separate macro just for food/drink, with the /ui action call and a pausefor however long to wait until drinking the next dose. This can run in parallel with whatever combat macros you may have.

And my god, what have I unleashed....

/enrolls in a math class at a community college.

I keep telling people that since I work with computers I don't need to know anything about math.

But, as they say, there are 10 people who know how to speak binary, those who do and those who don't.

P.S. Glad to hear the chef changes; it looks like they've addressed all the issues I've heard of so far with the revamp (with the exception of 'certifications' for the chef hat but I don't think we need to go that far. )

On another note: BoH isn't as uber as last night *sigh*

Breath of Heaven (Jan 30) I'm gonna have to start dating them:

hrm it needs to go back to 34 ish filling buff size is fine at that though 800 was too much

Thanks Sciguy, yes I think you're right about doing it on a separate macro

I tested drinking when full in combat and there is a noticeable pause so it's not optimal to be drinking while full - it wastes those precious microseconds!

Doing it manually is quite a strong option too, just tapping the key whenever there is a lull

I'd be quite surprised in some ways if people incorporated this into their routine hunting method but for some fights - surviving a dying krayt's last seconds, a jedi v BH fight - you would be mad not to have stacked food buffs up

I am pretty sold on the new revamp after much grumbling with the early info we received. Guess I will start working on resources for the new schematics. Thank god I have 2 master BE's in my guild that love my food!!

These changes are really starting to take shape.

At last my PA should start to realise that having a Master Chef in their midst is actually good news.
