I never get upset about people telling me what I am out of...in fact I encourage it. My time is limited with my work schedule and really don't have the time to break down the contents of my vendors to see what needs to be restocked. As far as rude customers, the only thing that pisses me off is the person that buys out all the singles of a particular item when I have the same crate size right next to it. Constantly having to fill my singles vendor because of this.
Oh, just remembered.....a customer recently purchased a crate of food from my vendor and it disappeared from his inventory a little later. He cussed me out and threatened to report me to a CSR because my vendors were bugged. What a noob.

I love these types of threads. Been a Master Armorsmith since day 1, people should be required to do a crafting profession to see actually how it works. People think we could just whip up something while we are waiting for a shuttle and don't understand that a lot of subcomponents need to be factory made which takes a lot of time.
I'll be honest, I always wondered why Food was so expensive. I started working on Chef and nowI could actually see why.

Hehe, just fooling around. I remember how cool it was when the first crafters started working their way up the skill trees. Suddenly people started wearing Mabari, Chitin, and Ubese over the course of several weeks.
And I remember seeking out the first Master Tailor to make an exotic leotard! Good times

When i entered my merchant tent today, a guy was there spamming *I NEED NADES* every 2 seconds. Tried sending him some tells but aparently he was afk. Theres only sold foods and meds at my tent. kinda anoying with the spam so i banned him and now he is standing outside spamming going on 3 hours.

Isn't shouting *I NEED NADES* a form of harassment when it's in front of your tent? Especially when it's every 2 seconds?
On a lighter note, you sure he needs grenades and not nads?

Got this yesterday I found this to be a good laugh
customer: Hey I have some meat for you
me: hi, great can you tell me....interuppted
customer: I'm trying to get 200CPU for it
me: ok what are the stats?
same customer: Hey I need mind food
me: sent him my vendor WP..can you tell me what the stats on the meat and amount?
customer: 499 OQ... some other crappy stats. 2500 units
me: How much again?
customer: well im kind of poor I was hoping for 200CPU.
me: No thanks I actually need higher stacks then that ususally I only buy in stacks of 60K (actually this was a lie, I just did not want to make him feel bad by calling him nuts)
15 minuets later customer: LMFAO your vendor is so expensive, why do the chefs on this server charge so much for food?
I thought it was funny because he never saw the irony in that last comment

LOL well to the doctors having it worse comment, I have a master doc and a master chef.... lol so depending upon what you do with Doc they can be equal... but back when I was buffing at starports (groans loudly) I would have to agree.... but it was great motivation for me to get my chef mastered and get my shop open....
But even now I get tells like, "Your buffs are all uneven... " or "Why don't you have this food in stock.." I usually just say, "If you thinking I am wasting all of my resources to get each buff exactly even your nuts, and as far as the food goes... maybe someone else bought it and I haven't gotten around to remaking it yet lol"
But yeah, I have noticed that as a Doc/Chef they treat me like some walking buff droid...

hehehe... I love these threads
I have a MD/MChef and a Rifleman/4440 Doc so I know exactly what you guys mean with the doc abuse!
I guess it may just be my experience, but back when I had my vendors going, if someone had an attitude I just said
"I am sorry but I am not able to make any more of that item"
or
"I am sorry but I can't lower the cost any more or I'll lose money"
if those didn't work I used
"I can not accomadate such requests, I am not a crafting bot"
"Can you please be more polite, you don't like my rudeness"
that usually works, but the ones that it doesn't work on wel... that's what ban and /ignore is for
not much else we can do :/
except wish for things to happen
