just an fyi, i hate the holo thing too, but it is the most direct path to my goal, i can actually see it!

but on the other hand the people that grind to jedi have the following traits:

1)patience
2)persistance
3)resolution
4)support of others (hard to do it alone)

these are jedi traits no? these people work hard and long with no reward unless they open the slot. If you take out their leet speak LOL ... they make good jedi

I would have to disagree on them having patience. They generally show a severe lack of patience. IE fighting over holocrons, coming here and not reading the board but demanding information etc etc The only patience they display generallyis the length of time the grind forces upon them.

Didnt Yoda tell Luke that Jedi do not seek excitement or reward and blah blah blah...and Luke was only 1 profession before he became jedi.

Well I can't speak for the DEs, nor technically for the Chefs since I am a BE, but my take would be the following:

Chef, like DE/BE, has in the past received very little love from the devs (more people go combat so that is where they spend their time.) Maybe this has changed for chefs by now (and good for you if it has) but BEs are still waiting. Then along comes a holo-hunter with the attitude - God your profession sucks, you people are idiots for not following the path I have chosen, how can I get through this as quickly as possible, and, no, once I am no longer a chef I will not buy your products.

Obviously this does not apply to all holo-hunters but it does for enough to taint the lot. We long suffering crafters are tired of getting the short end of the stick and now having the passers-by, rather than expressing the attitude - Wow, now I understand why you guys have complained previously - or - Wow, I had no idea what your profession was capable of...this really shows me new ideas for playing (even if you aren't staying here) - or even - Wow, this sucks for me but I have gained a profound respect for those of you who stick it out for the love of a non-killThemAllLetGodSortThemOut profession.

All we ask is that the rest of the game treat us with the respect that you take for a birthright.

Good Luck in your quest and I hope you are one of the few who learns something from the experience.
