I didn't yell at anyone.

I just pointed out that accusing the architects of price gouging was extremely unfair. They get the least.

Also, if I charge a flat rate for all my items of 10cr/use, and item a never fails, and item b fails 50% of the time, I would consider item b as effectively costing double the resources, and thus price it at double the price.

150K for a heavy flora is a fair price. How we're meant to earn that money is an entirely different matter, but its got nothing to do with the architects.

Actually, how we earn money is directly related to architects. We earn money the same way. Sure archs get ripped off at the $/u issue, and yes chefs get the shaft on usefulness (hence the overpricing). But at the end of the day, or start of the day, we all have to go do some kind of mission to keep all our stuff working. Or do missions to get money to buy resources. At least the archs and chefs I've talked to...

I'm not pointing any fingers at anybody. But I'm not going to give Architects any breaks. Have you noticed how many architects there are? With a supply of architects that high, how could they not be getting screwed? And why wouldn't we poor chefs not want to get the best deal? If there were as many chefs as there were architects (not only would the profession be properly working, but) all chef food would be sold at less than cost and we'd lose money each time we put something on the bazaar. However, there aren't that many chefs and the illustarion is purposefully absurd. Thus the architects will pay for the overbloated ranks of architects by having to sell lower than anyone else. As far as them not making as much as me per unit of resource, all I can say is that its not my fault.

Furthermore, the actual availability of the larger flora farms does nothing for the actual economical value of the farms. I was able to get a med. by running artisan delivery missions for six hours (or was it more, I have no idea). Sure it'll pay off in Corellian Berries, but how many chefs actually use THAT much a day??? When I was grinding to make one of the chef levels, I ran out of resources, but I have NEVER run out of resources for a specific order for someone. Four strategically placed microfarms will be more beneficial to any and all chefs who aren't running massive operations, using factories, using macros or just grinding all day long. And if you legitimately use that much a day, congratulations!!! You are very successful at being a chef and will be the subject of awe in my mind.

The availability of the larger flora farms only really helps out the non-profession seeking persons, such as the deleted Miner profession people. It really does little to help me at my slow shuffle through the cheffing profession. Maybe it will one day, but what the hell am I gonna do with 2k of berries??? Is there a recipe that calls for ungodly amounts of berries? I just wanna make one huge berry pie with all that, in one shot for 4200xp.

Bottomline:
Flora Farms are fixed. Big deal. Chefs still suck. This is just one more way for other professions to take advantage of chefs.

And of course, all of this is my own opinion.
