Thread: Most Annoying Customer
Not being a chef but shopping around for a good crafter position can I make a suggestion to the person who received the admin rights to someones house?
Take all of his stuff and put it on you vendor for sell for 1,000,000 credits a piece and leave it there for a couple of days until you get tired of his whining?
Here's my standard email response to nearly every inquiry I get, which always carries a waypoint to my one and only food and drink vendor.
"I don't carry any food or drinks with me, but here is a waypoint to my merchant. I try and keep it well-stocked with both singles and crates of the more popular items, but many are in high demand and it is not possible for me to keep up all the time. If you are looking for something in particular, let me know. I will make a large factory run of it and when it is ready, I will place it all onmy vendorand send you an email. I sell things through my vendor only, on a first-come, first-serve basis. I only do special orders for PA members. Thanks for your business."
My vendor is the "bartender" in our PA city's cantina.
Me either, I love my Master Chef title. Now I use the magic of the AFK message system, I leave a message up now all the time: "Please email me custom orders". Otherwise I cant do anything, I get /tell'ed to death!

I personally refuse to remove my Master Chef title, even when bombarded by moronic requests while running through Coronet. I feel I earned it, and I'll be damned if I am going to allow people to pigeonhole me into their idea of what a Chef "should" be.
Thats a good idea for afk, I've been blowing my afk message with "Sorry, but I'm out of tonight, it must be all that aludium stock I'm skimming. I've got a problem, I'm the first to admit it"
There are about 10 people in the galaxy that understand that message, although I have gotten more responses about Loony Tunes then I would have imagined.
Idon'tdeliver anymore...once I had a customer oncegive me a WP to his house on Tatooine, I finished the order, sent him mail confirming delivering and the WP...went there and voila! Nothing...no house, no player, nothing but sand...turns out the <insert explicative here> reversed his numbers...I explained that it wasn't very nice to send me to BFE on a delivery...especially after I confirmed the WP...he just shrugged it off and told me if I didn't want to deliver it, I didn't have to, it didn't matter to him...So I ran to Jabba's fortress (about 800m from where Iwas sent)and sold all the goods at a 25% markup over what I was charging him...since then I do not deliver to WPs...starports and shuttles only...no houses. Ironically, he tried to place an order again and I added a mandatory <insert explicative here> fee and he actually paid it... /boggle (couldn't really pass up on 800k) ![]()
these both happened in the last half hour before the reset...
(him) Breath of Heaven... how much?
(me) 60k a crate
(him) how much for one?
(me) 2400
(him) ok can you bring me one, I am in theed (meanwhile I am 2k west of theed at my house)
(me) well I don't have any on me right now. It takes 3 days to make 6 crates of BoH, would you like to put in an order?
(him) oh I don't want a crate
(me) you just want one?
(him) yeah, I am in front of the theed starport. can you make me one and bring it to me?
(me) what do I look like your personal bartender? I will mail you the wp for my vendor and you can get it yourself.
The other one was a holochef
(him) I need mixology 2
(me) ok where are you?
(him) infront of the starport in theed
(me) ok can you meet me on the steps of theed palace?
(him) where is that?
(me) just head west, you can't miss it
(him) send coordinates
Cause everyone who has been to theed palace knows how obscure and out of the way it is.
Another little run in I had was with a holochef who wanted to make up some fishak and stuff before he dropped chef and was asking me why he couldn't make fishak, the schematic wouldn't come up (because he was using a public crafting station)
Honest mistake.
My problem is that this guy was walking around with Master Chef title under his name. Now he did grind the experience but i don't think he earned the title of master chef. I asked him to take it down and he agreed.
Not only due to holocrons, this is more common than you might think. Shortly after getting master chef (what was that, years ago?), I ran into a master doctor. He asked what kind of doctor food I had, and laid them out with stats. He only wanted ham buffs, because he thought the secondaries were worthless since they didn't go down. I decided to sit and explain it to him. He had no idea what secondary stats did, and he had mastered doctor and got high in the pistoleer tree. He said that it explained so much as to why healing almost always exhusted him.

I have never considered being a chef. It was never one of my holocron professions. But after reading this, I thread, i think I might just try to do it and see what its like...
This IS the most entertaining threads I have ever read, lol!
-Yurii (Ahazi) Squad Leader/Swordsman/Ranger
Now I just gotta decide if I REALLY want to drop Ranger because I just can't let go of Squad Leader! ![]()
lol, yeah I've had several customers asking for Fishnak in bulk for their respective guilds, and wanting to buy 50 of them. I might have been loopy those couple times, so I thought they meant 50 crates (since it was bulk for guilds). I saw digits in my eyes on millioncredit orders.....
Heh.
So I emailed them the price for their orders and I get responses about how ungodly expensive that is. Its kinda funny getting a misconception that they were wanting 50 stacks and not 50 crates for their guild. ![]()
Yep some good stuff here...
On the AFK message...I use one also...I've been using it for around 3 months...it lists my vendor WPs and a request to mail custom orders and questions. Usually, as soon as I log in I flip up /afk.
Of course, then I get the people that say, "hey dude, did you know you're running around afk?" (mind you I am being VERY generous...most can't spell worth a **edit**). I tell them to /tell me to find out why...most do...get it...and leave me alone (heh and often go to a vendor and buy something)...a few don't get it and then want to have a conversation as to why I play with AFK up... /sigh

This is beautiful - it describes my answer to a tee - but my answer is usually spread out over about 20 tells. I might borrow this from you whole. ![]()
