Greetings Chefs - I decided to do a test after reading this thread.

I used my Last Ditch shot, which puts me at almost 0 action and tested how long it took to regen. I tried using a few different scenarios.

1) No buff at all. Took 36 seconds to regen to full action.

2) Mando Wine (+200 action regen) - Took 34 seconds to regen to full action.

3) Booster Blue (+20% action regen) - Took 33 seconds to regen to full action.

4) Booster Blue and Mando Wine - Took 31 seconds to regen to full action.

So.. to conclude.. I did notice a slight difference when using these different combos. I also tried unequipping my weapon and reequipping when I used all of these options, and it did not change the results.

This does show a change.. but realize that this is going from almost 0 action to full.. and the difference is at most 5 seconds. When you are dealing with the actual regen from another special, that maybe takes 10% of action.. the regen difference is almost negligible.

Hope this helps.

I just wanted to add that my results are very similar to these. I used enrage pet to enrage two of my pets and thus drain something like 70% of my action bar. Using enrage this way, it used the same exact amount of action every time. I also fired off a shot at nothing so the combat spam would log the time (using the timestamp option in the control-O chat options). Then when action bar completely filled I filled another shot at that exact moment to get another time stamp, thus timing the regeneration time.

My results:
No action buffs: 26s, 26s, 26s
Doctor buff (icon indicates 10% increase): 24s, 25s, 24s, 25s, 25s
+200 Kiwik: 24s, 24s, 24s
+20% Booster Blue: 24s, 24s, 24s
Kiwik and Booster: 22s, 22s, 22s
Kiwik, Doctor, Booster: 22s, 22s, 22s

I did not equip, re-equip my weapon while doing the tests.

There is an effect but notice that the numbers aren't working the way one would expect. Obviously, we don't the know the exact formula nor do we know that the numbers on the screen match the code. Nonetheless, we could assume that the percentage increase is to the points regenerated per second. Then we would assume that a 20% increase to that number would also give a 20% decrease to time necessary to regenerate. My numbers show that this does not happen.

ok, I started a thread but no one is answering, so I'll post here since it's about health regen.

Do we know for sure the cap for regen is 250 for food? Is it the same for health action and mind?

If yes, then why would they give Brandy +400 something health regen?

To stay in line with the current topic, yes, I feel that taking food helps the regen rate, and I never leave home without it.

noooooo. there is no cap on regen rates, especially since publish 20. the "250 regen cap" only applied to action and mind regen and it was only before pub 20.

i suppose if you really wanted a cap on regen rates you could figure out the best possible stacking combos of stuff and add up their regens. that's pretty much how we came to the conclusion that there was a 250 regen cap before 20.
