Thread: Price of upcoming food

I think I have a solution for your dilema OoBoBoo. As I understand it, what you need is something that will give you at least 1200 mind buff regardless of how long it lasts.
In the devs own words, Breath of Heaven experimented and Bioenhanced can reach that 1200 range you looking for. It will be hard to find due to the heavy meat requirements, but, it will be available.

You may be right, its been so long since i've made any BOH. But the principle of what im trying to tell you is the same. Any Bioenhanced food will be above the norm. Why don't you reserve your judgment until you see what a bioengineered Vasarian Brandy might be like.
This is the first subject (so far as I can remember) that I've whined about. And there IS much to whine about, since it will kill my gameplay, which I happen to enjoy very much. It took a while to find it and now I see that I may very well lose it. Just venting my frustrations
Whadda ya think?

ooBoBoo the answer to your problem is simple. Go to a chef after revamp, buy a food that reduces the time require for a dancer to buff you along with some brandy, give the reduced time food to the dancer, get their buff in under 2.5 minutes, and go out into the world with your mind over 2000.
Whadda ya think?
What do I think? Walk into the Cnet cantina when there are 40-50 entertainers and try to find a onemaster dancer or musician. Good luck to you. Also, the ones you do find will be tripling and quadrupling their fees now that food is screwed up.
That's what I think. But, thank you for trying.
BTW, it seems that 10 min buffs frommaster dancersare not lasting 2 hours anymore. Way to go SOE.

I feel for you OoBoBoo. We'll do the very best that we can for you on our end, meaning whatever the devs allow us to do, and you know us mad scientist chefs will try to push the edge of the envelope as far as it will go.
As for professional master dancers and musicians, yes, it is true they can be hard to find, but they are around. Best that once you find one, make friends with them and pay them extra so that you can make an appointment or get them to come to you or whatever. Thats about all you can do. There are still professional entertainers out there, you just have to look quite a bit harder past all the holoafkers is all. On Naritus, I used to belong to a guild full of dancers and musicians and personallyhaveat least 30 of them on my friends list that are always wishing people would contact them for buffs. From POV, they are having trouble finding the paying customers. From POV, you don't know how to contact them because you can't see the professional thru all the hologrinders. What a mess! You need your buff and they need the money, there has to be a way to find each other for mutual benifit. Don't give up hope.

For an item with a stack of 7ish that takes 80-90 resources I think 1200+ c/charge is extremely high. That is close to 100cpu. Your welcome to try and sell for that but your going to be undercut by people that do 30k per crate and that is still 10cpu on resources.
Charge per use is extremely hard to do also with the new system. 8 charge 100 power is better than 16 charge 50 power, but your prices seem to make the 16 charge one twice as much. There are 3(maybe 4 if your going to include duration) variables to consider. You can't base a priceing system on just 1 of the variables.
What is this power you are speaking about?
I'm leaving room for judgement so I will wait and try most things available. I have a feeling though that most items will be worthless to us. I do like the added elements of skill increases like creatureharvesting, definitely will use that. However I doubt I will waste my empty tummy on some dodge modifier or melee bonus when like all I need more mind buff. And whats up with all thses food items for terrain neg. or reduced ham for burst, etc. WE HAVE BIKES like we would ever care about those items.
I see postings laughing at us suckers who bought crates of fishak cause it will fill us up, SO WHAT !?! I never could take more than one dose before anyway. Sure the brandy is okay but stats wise its less of a boost. So what if it lasts less time, soon as it wore out I used another. I had a nice permanent mind buff going with muon on the side for an emergency. In fact, many of us adjusted our stats because we counted on fishak always being there. Bottom line is this, my stats will be lower not using fishak for brandy, that sounds like a nerf to me.
My predictions for the "useful" items
Smuggler's Delight will be big cause it suddenly makes spices more useful. Yes I will continue to carry crates of spices on me, so I get killed (maybe) by some imp npcs, so what.
Vegash is useful for us hunters and looks like it wont be very filling so definitely can be used with smuggler's delight.
Vasarian Brandy will be necessary for us who absolutely need and use fishak. Disappointed in results so far though.
Vercupti of Agazza Boleruuee is nice for pets. Again though, why all the other pet stat modifiers ? Looks like Sweesenbery Rolls may be just as good but who can tell ?
Thats it out of a million new ones. Sure some may think a creature tamer bonus is nice but with Bio-engineers being god-like now who care what a CH catches anymore. There are some that have potential but as of the list Im looking at, stats are too low like Garrmorl (+127 to health, strength, const.) to have any real use. And unless you're a novice brawler, most of the defense modifiers are worthless. Most of us are maxed on dodge bonuses, etc. Vagnerian Canape looks good except it fills you up (81) so would make no sense to use since it doesnt boost mind as well.
Potential Use if you have lots of room in your inventory and lots of cash to blow.
Pastebread although I wish there was a health bonus. I may keep this around in case my doc buffs wear out and I dont want to come in from the wild yet. Truly, I doubt it I'd use it though when neutron pixie will help much more in combo with Smuggler's Delight.Anything in an emergency helps though is my motto. On a side note, I cant tell if this is pet food only or restricted from being used on pets (other post with food list)
In conclusion, it seems like SOE likes making this game too complicated for rhyme or reason. Why so many new food items that do one single boost. I doubt anyone will EVER use most of the items. Now I gotta find an open hotkey for food so it doesnt wear out and I time the dosages just right during combat. Sheesh, would have been to simple like taking fishak before... drink and then when it runs out drink some more
