Just curious,

I am looking forward to using these new products.How many individual uses will I get from a crate that costs me 80k?

Uses would vary slightly depending on the container used to create the item and the quality of resources used. In this particular case with my results as an example:

10/stack * 25/crate = 250 uses

250/80000 = 320/use

Compare to Muon Gold:

1/stack * 25/crate = 25 uses

@7500/crate = 300/use

@10000/crate = 400/use

@15000/crate = 600/use

In other words...dirt cheap and I may be lowballing the price a bit for a buff that lasts 3 times as long, with no downer, of which you can drink TWO. (I hope smugglers get some love soon )

Anyone else going to comment on pricing this? This stuff is going to be on the top 5 seller list...other people HAVE to be thinking about this already?

First guys I have seen selling is asking 300k a crate, and claiming that it cost 200k per to make. Doesnt seem to jive with the numbers Im seeing here. As a consumer I would be willing to pay 80-100k but over that I will just take the time to find mind buffs.

I've been giving this some thought on the price of this stuff. I am doing it from a buff pricing schedule rather than a resource one. +400, 50% filling, 40 minutes, 18 uses (cask) is what I am looking at making, give or take a few points/minutes. First to get the good buff, you need to take two. Standard buff time is 2 hours, so 3 uses, 2 shots per use to get a full buff for 2 hours. The standard doctor buff is 6-10k, entertainer is free to 10k. This is a take it anywhere, no waiting buff, so I figure 4k per two hour buff, which takes 6 shots total, or 3 buffs per cask. Hope my math can be followed here.

So the price per cask would be 12k each or 300k per crate. The thing to keep in mind here is that this buff is by far better than the old stuff that needed to be took once every 5-10 minutes. That old crate of 25, 9 uses may have only be 75k, but was only 2250 minutes (BoH). The new stuff goes for 9000 minutes or ruffly worth 4 crates of the old stuff at 75k. That comes out to 300k or what it use to cost.

Now I just need to sit down and try to figure out if that price is justifies with the resource use.

I just made Master Chef, and with the revamp I am scrambling for a Master BE who understands what the "research" component is on biofoods. Perhaps someone here could post what that is in language that a chef could explain to a BE? I seem to be surrounded by non-master level BEs.

For crying out loud. I'm trying to get a conversation started. I don't need commments like that unless you are going to be contributing here. If you noticed, I marked all harvester resources at 15 cpu and meats at 20. I didn't take quality into consideration at any point here. I'm trying to figure out where to start pricing goods. I see lots of threads where people are pricing things at 150,000 credits a crate. Do you REALLY think people will paythat on regular basis? 6000 a stack or 600 a drink? As soon as the feeling of new wears off...you're vendor is going to be full and you're going to be broke.

Maybe if you'd said something like:

Hrmm...how about markingfactory combine runs which don't take resource quality into account at 1cpu/3cpu/5cpu...that would have been a better way to approach it.

Devils Advocate to your "argument", people are paying 15 cpu for the crappiest of crappy materials when they buy Muon Gold for 15k a crate.

There's also the factory runs to consider....we have afactory runfor:

container (sometimes 2 for this)

BE component

chef/be component

alcohol

final combine

That's quite a lot of factory time to produce a crate of final product. Any other input to this? I'm seriously considering modeling my pricing a flat rate like this rounding to the nearest 5k increment on the final crate price. Flate rate for resources used gives you an easy model to follow and you can always change numbers in the forumula depending on what the resources cost you.

With time, we'll all get to a fairly standard pricing scheme I think...but for right now, I'm trying to contribute to the community by offering some ideas.

My guess is it is something looted that can make the food even more powerful.

I have found this thread to be very informative but what I would like is to have an exact component and experimentation requirement for the Vasarian Brandy. I am not a chef but I have used this on the Test center and would like to be able to factory make my own supply utilizing some schematics that can be made for me by a Chef and a BE.

Well, if you can find a chef and BE to make you schematics (not necessarily the easiest thing in the world, whether or not to sell schematics is something that people are really split on), here's what you'd need to for a run of BE-enhanced vassarian brandy:

1) Harvest berries, fruits, gems, cereal for the brandy.

2) Harvest meat/milk/flora for BE tissues (what kind and how much depends on what supplement you want) and water for the additive.

3) Give resources from step 2 to BE, have them make a schematic. Run off one tissue.

4) Give tissue and water to Chef, have them make the additive schematic. Run off one additive.

5) Give cereal to chef, have them make alcohol schematic. Run off two alcohols.

6) Give gems (trim too if you want casks) to chef, have them make container schematic. Run off one container.

7) Give additive, alcohols, container, berries, fruits to chef. Have them make Vassarian schematic.

8) Do factory runs of tissues, containers, and alcohols. When tissue finishes do factory run of additives. When all those complete do factory run of Vassarian.

For X Vassarians you'll need resources for X+1 containers, 2*(X +1)alcohols, X+1 additives, and X+2 tissues. That's assuming the BE and chef get successful assembly and experimentation on the first try.

Good luck, I think you'll need it.
