Thread: Bivoli Tempari
Docs, atm barely pay their costs (then often trust people to pay in tips =/).
The average Doc will lose money (or morem oney as the case may be) using BE Bivoli. We've been trying to get them to charge more... Docs have even been refunding money for 1.5k buffs =( ... sad really.
Now that our buffs are going down in total (but staying the same on average), players are gonna try to get Docs to charge EVEN LESS! Even the docs that charge decently, are usually losing money using BE Bivoli.
It is really Docs not valuing their own costs, more then anytthing to do with chefs... but after pub 7, expect Docs to be grouchy about buying bivoli for even reasonable prices. ...Because they are gonna be hit from the other side, by players who want 3.5k buffs for whatever they normally pay, and who won't care that our materials costs haven't gone down with the lowering of our max buffs.
The difference between +10 and +25 bivoli on an 850 base pack (high end, non janta-blood) is only 127 points (15% of base 850 pack).
That will probably not be enough of a difference to justify the extra cost of BE enhanced Bivoli vs. regular.

Yup, this is exactly why I am concerned. Bivoli in its current form really cannot cater to that kind of demand, regardless of price. When you layer on the buff nerfs, its a double edged sword...demand goes up (good for docs, bad for chefs who can't keep up already), prices go up (good for chefs, bad for docs who don't even like the current prices), but the sub-par stack quantity stays the same (bad for both).
As an aside, this whole 2-per-stack thing the devs have imposed on us for certain foods just stinks. Kinda makes you wonder what their "master plan" was for Bivoli, Thakitillo, etc.

I think what they were going for is a way to seperate the skills of players. Players that have been around longer who have lots of money can now buy food that seperates them from someone who has the same skills. Having a group of people who have been buffed with bivoli go against a similar group who didnt will most likely win because of their edge. This will ring much truer when doc buffs are derandomized.
Does someone actually sell this bad Bivoli? Mine is +24. Or was this just an example?

Amen.
I can't keep BE and non-BE Bilvoli stocked as it is. Lexy being my primary Bivoli Tester. ![]()
Hoard your Carnivore Meat now. I've had plenty for quite a while, but am down to stacks of 3k and below. So no more 1000 schematic runs for me.
BE Bivoli will pay for itself when you use the havla in conjuction with it. Just spam that you are using Be enhanced buffs, and charge a little more. Even the cheap non-beHavla can reduce it by 50% for the next 5 people. Pop one of those when you have along line, and you make twice as much money. This will separate the masters from the FOTM dr's.
