Thread: Poll: How many Established Chefs would quit if this Resource buff kicks in?

Wait, I don't understand... why are people upset about being able to make better stuff? Didnt they say it would up the resource caps to 1100 instead of 1000 if it was 10%? So if you have the best resources you'll still be able to make better stuff... I just don't understand why people complained in the first place... makes no sense... why wouldn't you want to better your products? Especially in chef, if you can hit your numbers quicker that leaves more points to put into duration and filling, etc... the best chefs would still be the best chefs....

Hm..when wsa it ever stated the resource caps would be 1100 if it was 10%? I'd like a link to any post that said so by any correspondent, dev or moderator.

I would like to see the link as well. And it would seem kind of a waste to increase the resources and increase the cap, why not just adjust the formula and not make us spend even more time on menial tasks
LOL... so you were OK... but if they bring in a bonus and it's not ENOUGH of a bonus... you're gonna quit? That cracks me up.

Unfortunately, 2% just isn't enough.I just might quit if they don't raise it to 5%!

hahaha I know. It's funny how people go to such extremes over this.

I will. I can be a crafting clone on another better programmed game. I am tired of being bent over and this is the last SONY game I will be part of.
Can I have your stuff please?

Early testing on TC showed that the % bonus allowed stats to go beyond the stat maximums. Somebody crunched numbers in the In Testing forum I think it was but I can't remember where. They showed with the formulas what it should be if the % capped at 1000, and what it would be if the % allowed you to exceed it. His testing was when the 10% was in and his results showed that 1000 had become 1100.

Then in my opinion this is even more ludicrous. So in effect, the developers have decided that the crafting community needs yet another mundane task. Why not just increase the values reached by 10% using the same resources?

And of course, as peoplewere pointing out, even with the proposed 10% there seemed to be no resources on any server as of this date that would cap for chef (i.e. experimentation at or over 100%) on all lines, and very few allowing chefs to cap even one line. That is not the case for all crafters, but this is why some of us were asking that the percentages be adjusted based on the number of stats required and the number of experimentation lines used.

Not Me.
I've been a Chef since July 2004, I'll be a Chef when they shut down the servers on Mecinia
.
They could have left it 10% and it wouldn't have bothered me, I think 2% is just to small really to make a big difference, but we'll see. I hope our correspondant talks them into giving us 5%.
Thank you Mecinia. We'll be at least two chefs at the end.
