Thread: Poll: How many Established Chefs would quit if this Resource buff kicks in?
The 2% one? Not very many I bet. Not me for one. If they decide to pull a fast one and slip the 10% one in at the last second before it hits live... not that I'm say they'd actually do that of course...
I doubt we'd get a special 5% buff for chef so I'm not all that worried about that.
Haven't you heard? Chef is dead. There isn't any Chefs left to quit. 2nd from the bottom on least played professions.
The reality is that the pretty much the only Chefs left are the ones in it for the love of the profession so I don't expect the Chef community to change at all.
I'm liking it.
Good lord....
I'm quitting because of this.
I'm quitting if they do that.
If you don't enjoy the game, quit already.
Not Me.
I've been a Chef since July 2004, I'll be a Chef when they shut down the servers on Mecinia
.
They could have left it 10% and it wouldn't have bothered me, I think 2% is just to small really to make a big difference, but we'll see. I hope our correspondant talks them into giving us 5%.

I understand where people are upset regarding this issue. I can't say whether I would quit or not if or when this goes live. What determines whether I am any given profession is the fun factor. If something ceases to be fun, I do something else.
The issue with many of the established, long-time chefs is that if this is implimented, it makes being a crafter all about the credits. In any of the crafting professions, the best of the best enjoy their profession because of the constant challenge to be the best. Others enjoy it because of the constant challenge to beat the best.
I have enough credits to probably last me until the game is shut down. Making credis is not the fun, striving to be the best is. If they remove this aspect of crafting, I fear they will be removing the fun for many of us. I also fear that when they remove the fun, many of us will move on to other things.

I wont even bother posting. You summarized exactly how I feel about the issue.
Wait, I don't understand... why are people upset about being able to make better stuff? Didnt they say it would up the resource caps to 1100 instead of 1000 if it was 10%? So if you have the best resources you'll still be able to make better stuff... I just don't understand why people complained in the first place... makes no sense... why wouldn't you want to better your products? Especially in chef, if you can hit your numbers quicker that leaves more points to put into duration and filling, etc... the best chefs would still be the best chefs....
