Try sharnaffs, they worked well for me and just south of coronet on Chimaera there are always plenty of lairs.

Just ride around there for a while, people normally don't mind you milking their sharnaffs, except a few people who use rude words when ever they see you. Also, people target the bulls first leaving the milkable ones for you.
