I am a new Master Chef... and I am having the hardest time getting large enough supplies of milk to make crates of anything...

What are your methods for getting milk? Is there somethign I am missing? Is there a Pet that can give me the milk I need???

Any and all help is appreciated

For Wild Milk, pickets on Dantooine are best.
I usually get 80-130 per picket milked.

Lesser bols on dant give small amounts of dom milk, but are easy to kill, so doing missions gets you 1k cash and some milk

To milk, put maskscent on, or get a ranger to camoflage you, then select get milk from the radial menu on the mob

SO this is the only method huh? Hmm... theres got to be a better way. I do not have the time to do this. I guess I could buy the milk...

Why have the devs not made a milkable pet?

Hmmm.... Or a factory, where youc an insert mikable pets... letting them live in there... and it will provide a certain ammount of milk per day... similar to a harvestor. BER10 Milking Station... Anyone? Anyone?

I just find it hard to believe that Emerill will be out int he desert taking missions trying to get milk from WILD animals... not in a highly civilized world that we live in!!!

As it stands, if you don't want to gather it yourself you have to buy it. Try going to the Trade forum for your server and auctioning to buy what you need. Give a price and a time and place to meet. On my server the cantina in Coronet on Corellia seems to be a popular crossroads.

Alternately tell them to place it on the bazaar where you can pick it up but you run the risk that some one else may snap it up before you get a chance to buy it.

If you don't want to spend the money try offering crates of food or drink in trade. That would catch the interest of higher level players.

ditto. I bought a stack of 15k a while ago, and I still have it. I'm not selling Pikatta Pie due to the questions surrounding whether it works at all, same for smuggler's, and and blue milk is a low-volume item (it just doesn't compare to Brandy in 99% of situations).

If we had milkable pets, maybe they would allow us barns and stuff to keep them in like cattle. That would be so cool, and alot easier.

If your collecting milk for subcomponents, you can always rely on pikets on Dantooine (as stats don't matter for subs).

Get 2 piket missions (they're around 9k margin so you can just spot the price instead of examining each mission). Pick one to a main direction (ie. N, S etc) and then one quarter direction (ie. Your first is N, so get either NE, or NW). Try to get them the same distance from each other.

The tricky part is trying to get them to update a reasonable distance. The minimum I've found is ~550m to get the lair to respawn the first wave. The slightdifference in direction usually makes up the 550m if your lucky.

With the lairs updated, travel between the 2, milking the first wave of each lair, yet NEVER hitting the lair to get more to spawn. I've found this intterupts the respawning of the lair. It takes awhile to get a decent stack for a factory run. We'll just have to wait for them torethink milking (should rely on Creature Harvesting skill if you ask me, and everyone in a group should be able to milk the same creature...like other harvestables.)

Hope this helps

I had a lot of luck gathering milk from eopies on Tatooine on Sunday. Use maskscent, unequip your weapon, and approach them without running, and you should do fine. I gathered a couple hundred units over the course of the day.

Jawa Beer on Snorbals seems to work well for me. Similar yield as Pikets, maybe a bit less (100-120) and they live outside my door.

kerel has gone away. bye!
