I'm waiting for the old man on my alt, then i'm gonna see if i've got any free unlocks on him, if so my alt will become my chef and my chef will become the fighting char. IT'll be easy then grinding out the tree's through crafting anyway.

Even if your intend is noble, 100 attempts are far to few to make reliable statistic statements

I ran up the experimentation and assembly lines of the FS trees. I guess I should have read the boards before I did it. I was hoping for the 2 extra experimentation points to put me at a 12pt. without having to pay millions. On the bright side though, I have noticed a sharp increase in my amazing sucesses and the quality of my food has gone up! I guess that was worth it...lol

Well the problem for me (and i suspect alot of chefs) is that they already only use all amazing schems, so if they did get this it wouldn't make a difference at all, except take less time to get them.

Not really worth it imo, but i'm still gonna see.

Well, i have no hope of using all amazing schems. I am a 12 chef, run a station at 42.76 efficiency, use a +15 tool, in a research city, with bespin port and i rarely get an amazing. A typical schem is all greats. Every third schem has 1 or 2 amazings. Or do you all make schems for hours til you get a perfect one?

It never takes me more then 2 or 3 tries to get 1 amazing success. most ofthe time I'm happy with that, but there are a few foods like brandy and canape that I make with AS on both nutrition and fl/fill

Crafting Mastery:
Experimentation will increase your chances of getting Amazing Successes while crafting(not give you more experimentation points).

Assembly increases your chances of succeeding when assembling the item.

Repair does work but jedi’s main items (Lightsaber and Robe) do not decay. Could repair other things if you wanted though.

Technique decreases your chances of failing while crafting.

Repair is a bit odd ... as a master chef, should I really be able to repair clothing well, despite the fact that I have no tailoring exp?

The big issue with these is of course the return to grind for crafters, I can't help but think they will end up changing this is so blatantly different from the others.

My master ranger/rifleman got over 88k sense exp and over 100k combat exp.

My master chef/DE/artisan (capped on chef and artisan, less on DE but close to cap)with 100k architect and 20k tailoring got 52k, only just enough to get the novice box. If she were split (say entertainer/artisan) like the other character, she couldn't have trained novice.

The ranger/rifleman can now happily collect up exp (which is a great feeling, i did sort of feel like "is there any point in killing this if it doesn't drop loot" when I hit the exp cap) as a part of her normal playstyle. The master chef stagnates if she sticks to normal play (well, except for collecting merchant exp which is sense, not crafting).

Vercupti gets 300xp/combine according to Sci's revamp chart, that's a lot of vercupti to make by hand. Add to that the fact that players actually want crates and you end up making it with cheap components in practise runs.

Yeah, basically. I've gotten the 12 points amazings on the first time before and blew threw 2 crates of additives before. It is a luck based thing really.

The best way i find to get all amazing schems is this. use a high % tool (i use a 15.00) a high % station (aboe 40% should do it) and craft in a research centre. Now lets say i was making brandy, i do the biggest points first, so for this i need to put 8 points into nutrition to where i want to get it. I do this until i get a amazing, now this could take some time and you will get angry (i always do ). Right when you've got you're amazing there on the next points use bespin port (i use my own +11 20 fill stuff) so that i have at least a better chance of a amazing. Doing it this way i can normally get a all amazing before i'm full.

But if the luck isn't running your way you can go through several crates of components.
