Personally I love this update. I feel that we are being unleashed and allowed to become more creative in our products.

Don't say I'm short-sighted, I have the right to not like this update - as a Chef. Ok, maybe I misformulated my sentence; "MY popular products isn't designed for this".
There is a reason why I've always experimented on flavor, because the system "required" us to. Now I feel I've wasted millions, because people would be more likely to buy products that have shorter duration with more power and less filling. That would decrease MY sales.
Maybe people don't think this way; maybe I'm "short-sighted", but I still have the right to not like this update.

is it possible to get the KD food and canap on a 15 minute timer without completely killing the strength?
+75 KD defense, 16:48 duration, 38% fill, 2 uses... my current stock of Trakitillo.

statmigrated 1000 to mind
+ musician buff
= 2000
+ 2 400 brandy
= 2800 (traditional buff)
statmigrated 1000 to health
+ doctorsbuff
= 3350 (traditional buff)
statmigrated 1100 to mind
+ 125% musician buff
= 2475
+ stacking 3 435 brandy
= 3780 (extreme buff)
statmigrated 1000 to health
+ medcenter doctor buff
= 3650 (extreme buff)
I wouldnt say that Brandy will be overpowered by stacking.

All I can say is: finally.
The 45m digestion was the first bug I entered for the Chef revamp (after they reduced it from 60m). On Testcenter. Last February.
The transistion period might be rocky, but we do probably have a week or so before this hits live. I'm sure we can come up with some good ideas for duration/filling combos before then.
Andthere's nothing inheritently bad about 45m Brandy under the new system. Instead of the buff lasting just as long as the filling, now the drinker has 15m where they have no filling and still have the full buff. They can drink up something else, or take two more Brandys, for 15m with +1600 to all three mind stats.
Finally, this makes things easier for people who clone with filling in their stomach, their downtime has just been reduced by 1/3rd.
And the "Fixed problem that can cause the stomach not to empty" looks good too. I'm assuming this is to deal with places like DWB where stomach digestion seemed to slow down (although I'm going to double-check).

Heh. I just crafted 350 crates of food around a 45 minute timer over the course of the last two weeks in preparation for my reopening.
ROFL.
Thank god I am not hurting on resources.
Forgive me if I am not ecstatic about this. Oh dont get me wrong! I think this is a great change. But I COULD HAVE USED THIS INFO ABOUT A WEEK AGO.
LOL

Then get on working on those food-"templates" now! I need to see something good in this.

Anyone know if this is the same bug as if your in the DWB the stomach decay is slowed to a crawl? I've just never heard of anyone having a bug where their stomach just stays full no matter how much time passes.

My only reservation against this is why now? We are closing in the the CU. The time does change things as far as combos are concerned. However by the time we get new food combos tried out, find the good combos, and they get them produced and convence people that is what they what, the CU will hit and change everything all over again.
It is sort of one of those, why bother? things. I would have waited till the CU and figured out a good timing and duration for foods then.

Heh....I am feeling better now. Was just not what I needed to see early this morning. I KNOW this is a good thing, and I am glad to see ti finally coming. I just look at a few recipes and think that I would have done them differently now. No worries....I can experiment with that later. I already have been playing with a number of different options. Now if they would just push changes that make milk harvesting easier to live I would be in business. I am down to my last 100k stack of milk.
From the same patch notes:
* Creatures will now yield more milk after being successfully milked.
O.
Ooo goody goody. I hope by "more" they mean 200 units of more per animal. And if they could fix the Amazing Warping Pickets that would rock too. LOL.
Chef looks like its going to be a lot of fun in the coming months....

There's actually a bug that arises if you're pet tumbling (don't know if regular "tumble to standing" does it too) where your stomach will not empty until you stop. I noticed it months ago, and when I tested it again, the same problem still came up.
