I've been curious about how this works for a long time, but I can never figure out how the system works out your incap time. Sometimes I'm incapped for less than 10 seconds, whereas other times I'm incapped for over 30seconds. Buffs definitely play a role, but I'm not sure to what extent

The incap timer is based on how many points in the hole your health is. You get incapped when your health goes below zero i.e. into minus figures. You recover from incap when your health goes back up above zero. Cavaellin Creams give your health a boost when it goes into minus figures - recovery time is a combination of - how many health points you have in the hole, health regen rate and any health boost you get from the Cav Creams. Making the creams different values wont in itself change the recovery time, you need to consider the other factors too. I dont think it would be possible to make a food that is say 2 seconds recovery because the recovery time depends where you are starting from in terms of how many health points you are in the hole and if you are using any health regen buffs (food, spice or doc buffs).

Hope that makes sense to somebody cus it confuses the bejeez out of me

My conclusion from the other feedback here is that yes, you should use an INN for this. My reasoning being that you cannot rely on lower Incap Recovery values to always bring you back to consciousness from 3 seconds to Instant, as your incap is dependent a whole variety of factors. If you get the Incap Recovery high enough, it will not matter and you will always pop back up Instantly, giving you the edge you need to heal or pop off AI.

pve is instant incap more or elss. alot of time im dead ebfor ei hit the ground. although with this it would be interesting to try but either way i doubt it would matter cause soon as you pop up youd be hit again and most likely if its from pve death they hit hard and you would die anyways

The death blows vary, sometimes yes you get instantly slain, othertimes i can run though a multitude of lvl 88-92 spawn and only take an incap. As for getting shot again, thats not nesseccarily true, most pve mobs retreat as soon as your incapped, I'm curious about whether this will save uses off my ress ring basically.

I'll guess i'll have to do some testing.

how well does this work in PVE, example - you run through the DWB many things are chasing you, do you incap recover fast enough to avoid a DB?

Been thinking that myself, but been too scared to risk a death (Just for the nuisance). My guess is no, since the death blow from PvE seems instant, but hey..definitely worth a try.

Cav Creams wont help in the DWB as the SBDs have a death blow attack. There is no timer on MOB DBs either so I would say that Cavaellin Cream is pretty useless in PvE. It is mainly used in PvP and especially useful in 1 vs 1encounters such as BH vs Jedi as it allows the user to stand and heal before the DB timer can complete.

In fact the removal of ranged DBs and the introduction of the DB timer, as controvertial as it was,is the best thing the devs could have done to boost the value of Cavaellin Creams.

I ran a quick test using 146 incap recovery and I stood up so fast I got incapped again before i got my heal off, then i made some at 99 incap recovery and stood up less then a sec after the incap which worked great in my opinion, the combat spam said that the creams reduced the incap time by the percentage of the creams. so my run of these is at 99 incap and I'll see how they sell

I'm not sure about that whole percent thing. I made 132 and still had a 7 second incap on one test.
