> Honestly, that looks ALOT like the spice buff ranges.

Then double (or triple) the duration and lower the effects he suggested. That would differentiate it from spice and make it still not suck.

Another thing that worries me anout the Chef profession: does anyone else think there is a typo in the buffs the Tat Sunburn gives. I suspect TS should buff +160 STR, +160 STAM, and a nerf is on the way. Otherwise, why would the dev's have put this in Mix II, when it is as good or better than most Master Chef items?

Oh yeah. The first thing I thought of when I say a Tatooine Sunburn was that it was a typo or bug that this kind of item was at mixology2,but it can't be 160 to strength and stamina. It's just too low.

While it is better than most of the chef items it can't be that low because it takes 2 Starshine Suprises and 20 reactive gas to make. A Starshine Suprise is around +100 to strength and stamina. So two of them together plus some extra reactive gas MUST be better than that or it would be like 2+2+1 = 3.

Hoggle, with the component bug, you could expect a sunburn to be like 250/250 with good experimented starshines to make it. Also, experimenting on chef food gives better results than experimenting on dom food. So all in all I think that it is possible there's a typo, but that 150/150 is the very minimal result you can get for a Sunburn.

the component bug only affects identical factory components. Sunburn is totally unaffected by the starshine's quality.

Frankly I think food should be better than spice and doctor buffs.

Why should doctors and smugglers be able to buff better than a profession who can do nothing but buff, when they'ev got all of the other abilities that come with those professions?

How do you think weaponsmiths would feel if Commandos had one skill line devoted to building weapons that were better than WS ones, and yet retained all their combat abilities?

We have 4 lines devoted to buffs, doctors and smugglers have one - ours should be better, unless they want to give food the ability to heal wounds, revive the dead, improve armor or knock people down from a distance, muffin throwing anyone?)

I am holding judgement on our buffs until I see what happens after I've hit master with Food Experimentation gear with a top-quality Food Crafting tool with a top-quality Food Crafting station using top-quality ingredients. There are so many factors that go into creating quality crafted goods that it's hard to make the judgement that our buffs are weak until I've maxed out my cooking potential.

p.s. Try to find some Food Experimentation gear. I have a pair of +2 boots and those extra experimentation points make a world of difference.

Malqanar: Our buff stack together with themselves, are multiple use, and fully portable, with no disadvantages. This is why our buffs should not have a total buff strength as high as spice/doctor buffs. By doing so would destroy these other two professions, as this is the only advantage they have over us. Not many doctors are making money off their buffs, since they have to be around to apply it, and smugglers aren't doing that well either due to the downtime.
