Well actually I wonder if most chefs have that- well if they do I can see that they probably sell hordes of food and do not have any trouble stocking up on the right resources. I have no chance in **** to have that massive amount of lots- or for that matter can afford that equipment. Also it is a very sad thing to see. Those having those kind of resources at hand- well it can not be that hard making money then since you do not actually but anything more than the actual equipment. To me the resources are the big cost since I do not have the lots to harvest everything myself- nor the time to collect all the creature resources by myself. So sure you can make money- and aye if you only concentrate on making vasarian brandy you could probably make loads of money- but well compared with the resources collectors you earn very little compared to the time and effort you spend!
Heh, we've discussed this many times in the past...and the nail was hit in this thread already...
Yes, chefs make money, but its of varying degrees...all tied to investment of time, effort, and capital.
I only sell non-BE foods as I lack a regular supplier of additives, so I am definitely not loaded. I get by, but don't turn much of a profit. The chefs that make a lot of cash are the ones that turn out a lot of BE additive foods.
Chef is expensive. Plain and simple. I became a Master Chef about 2 months ago and had 2 million in the bank and a good supply of grindable resources. Since then I have built up about 1million resources of good quality, but my cash supply has dropped to about 200k. It takes a while to really get what you need to make a quality product that competes with the Masters already established. However the real problem for making money, is that you have to build a reputation that will get people to come to get your food. I am based on Dant and I can't get people to come to my shop even with ads on the Trade Forums. I have now started to load up on every type of food hoping to make a name as the best stocked Chef.
Long term, sure a chef can make a good bit of money, but they need a lot of customers, because this stuff lasts a long time per crate.
