Well, casks do, because barrels are bugged, so don't bother spending resources on Barrels
They really need to remove Barrels from the crafting tool, at least noone accidently builds them then.
For Trim you need a Cloth Crafting tool and Tailor 0010 I think
I spend those points in Tailor and make my own trim. not because of the price (well its a lot cheaper alright), but just because of the amount I need, and i never could find a tailor that was able to made enough and block his factory for that long just to make some trim for me.

Gotta craft in front of a Food crafting station to make schems...trim is a tailor item, but the cask is a chef item.

try standing closer to it. I ahve several different craftign stations near each other and i need to almost stand in top of it to get the ability to make a schem.

The stations seem to have some sort of built in detector system that means the closest station is the one that allows experimentation, even if you're holding the wrong crafting tool.
You might try moving closer to the food/chem crafting station than you are to the wearables station.
But yeah, if you're at the point where you're making the schematic for the cask, its got to be a food/chem station, as casks are food component item, even though they use a tailor crafted subcomponent. It's the old interdependency thing again.
