Okay, I thought I'd take my manufacturing of Blue Milk to the next level - casks. I got enough of the right gemstone, enough trim, a good factory and then started producing them. Now I have 1000 casks and no idea who to get the Blue Milk into the casks. HELP ! What do I need to do to get fill the casks ?

I'm not quite sure what your question means but the Casks go into the Drink Container slot when you craft the Blue Milk. Make a schematic and then use the casks to make however much Blue Milk u need assuming u have all the other ingredients as well.

Oh...I got it...so for my factory, instead of putting in the meat and the regular milk and the glasses to make blue milk, I put in the regular milk, the meat and the casks....

thanks, now can we delete this post before everyone finds out what a thick-skulled lame brain I am ?

Has anyone else had trouble making casks? I used an F&C tool and a private F&C crafting station and it would make the cask alright but would not let me make a schematic.

I would guess you were too close to another type of station. Try making any food in the same spot, I would guess you can't experiment or make a schematic for that as well. If this is the case, the only solution is to move a bit in your house. Something else is interferring with the F/C crafting station.

Yeah, I thought that too but I was able to make a schematic for a different item and had not moved. I have fixed the problem by picking that crafting station up and putting another one (F&C) down. Not sure why old one would not work, but my prob solved for now. I will take the old one to a different location and see if it has the same problem.

Hi,
i want 2 make brandies like any other cheffs 
but my question is
i have a small run of casks and it ain't the same type due 2 trims shortage can i use any casks (from different run) to make my brandies ?
thxs for the help in advance

Drink containers (including casks) do not have to be identical to make a run of drinks. When you make a schematic, all other subcomponents get the serial number stored (so you still have to use identical alcohol, which will limit you to a max Brandy run of 499). But you can use casks (or glasses) with any serial number in your final brandy run.

There are rumors that the name of the Cask has to be the same though.
If you name one run "Cask 1" and the second "Cask 2" than it doesn't work.
At least thats what the rumor sais, I just name all my Casks simply "Cask" (don't change the default name) and never had any problem, i can mix casks from several runs without problem.

I use casks with different names all the time for the same runs of brandy. I have some labeled as "cask 12/1", some as "cask", and still more with various serial numbers attached to them and I've never had a problem.
I think the speculation, rightly so, is that you can't throw casks, large glasses and small glasses into a factory and have it still pumping things out with the modifications for the smaller container sizes. Your schematic will simply ignore that there is another type of container, use all the casks, and then stop production of the item.

And yes, small glasses and Casks very likely don't work together, same as you can't throw in HFA in a MFA slot and use it as MFA...

spekaing of casks....why can't i find trim? i can't find it anywhere in the food crafting tool so i can't make casks
