Thread: Flurry Chef Price List?
i'm the same dove.. certain foods like BOH, fishak surprise already come out at a high amount of charge, and most of my customers want the best buff they can get, so i don't place any pts into quantity unless the other 2 bars are filled. but for things like sunburns, they already have a ridiculously high buff (compared to our other foods) so i max out the quantity. i don't think the difference between a 1550 sunburn and a 1700 sunburn is going to be that noticeable. that's just my personal preference though.
Sound like a newb, I may, but I have seen a total of 4 chefs or so since launch. So, what does the breath of heaven do? I need to find a list somewhere of the stat boosts given by various foods.
HiHi ODonahue ![]()
Here is a web site I reffer some of my more "curious" patrons too.
http://www.ralloszek.net/swg/chef.htm
I love to talk about food and buffs because I like to hear what people want buffed but I draw the line at talking to someone for 30mins and then they tell me they want 1 stack of Ormachek instead of Fishak LOL!
Anyways everyone will want their own foods after all thats part of what makes Cheffing fun
. However I find there is STILL A HUGE EDUCATION going on out there on food. I can't tell you how many times people tell me of that stuff is horrible ... the puking and downers aren't worth it
. I don't mind explaining these things to them because it is good for the overall Food Industry.
Irene if you want to get together in game or just chat about our profession please feel free to send me a tell especially if you have questions about stuff. I found that Krothos and I BOTH learned alot about stuff we had both taken for granted hehe. It seemed that as we chatted we learned more
. So Im always happy to chat to chefs. As for resources sharing etc I think I would like to develop a good relationship with people before I go too far.
Xun thanks for your pricing I think its pretty much in line with ours except for your Fishak. I honestly SELL OUT of Fishak alot and unless your food is drastically diff from mine/Krotos from a buff/stack size you are leaving alot of money on the table! Having said this I think the more power to you if this is how you run your business
. I was the first to make and sell HUGE quantities of Tatooine Sunburn on Flurry a long time ago and when the market got flooded my prices dropped insanely hehe so I know all about competition etc. The bottom line is I've come to a point where I make foods the way I like em and the way I think my very best customers like them and pricing follows. If I eventually sell less I'll actually be able to go outand shoot more things for a change LOL!
Cheers and I welcome any chef banter on Flurry so please do send me a tell in game. I wish we could create a chef channel we could all chat on. That would be fun!

I'm playing on Flurry, and I'm glad to say I've recommended all my guild members to Xun, mainly because his prices are fair, and constant, as are the quality of his goods.
So please, if you are on Flurry, support Xun by buying his fairly priced items, thus enabling him to keep his prices fair and equitable for both parties. ![]()
The strange thing is, not to wail on the other Flurry chefs but, having visited 3 other shops where master Chefs sold their goods, I found Xun's wares to be cheaper & better than the competition on most but not all items.
Of course, since Xun is enjoying Prefered Vendor Status to most of my buddies, we'll just buy from him regardless ![]()

Xun, Where is your shop? I haven't visited it.
How many Chefs are there on Flurry anyway? The only two I've ever seen are Xun and Kaet, so there's no way I could comment on another chef's price structure.
My prices aren't any higher than Xuns, but one should be careful about the phase "fairly priced." Some chefs have much more in the way of harvesters and PA support than others, and different Artisans may have different pricing strategies than others, but that doesn't indicate that their prices aren't fair. If one chef has to handgather most of their resources, and another Chef has multiple Heavy Flora harvesters, one might expect the first chefs prices to be higher. Time spent playing is another huge factor. If a chef spends 5 hours a week playing, they aren't going to price their goods such that their vendor is completely empty every time they log in, compared to another chef who plays 40 hours a week. Again, "fair" doesn't enter the equation.
I think educating players about food, being friendly to other players and building a loyal client base is the most important thing. If you have eight people who really like you, and want to buy from only you, it wouldn't really matter even if your prices were double the average.
Actually, I have to thank Xun. Back when he used to be with us in CBB he was a constant encourage for me to work on my chef. I finally got it recently and he has been my mentor ever since, so thank you for that Xun.
I'm noticing that my pricing is either the same or lower that most of you... I will have to adjust that...
I'm also wondering... do you guy get hit and miss days? Some days I carry around a several 25 crates of Sunburns with me and in 15 minutes everybody buys me out... Then on other days (tested this when I mastered chef a few days ago) I wandered around 3 cantinas, Theed, and other remote planet locations and offered 9 charge Tatooine Sunburns for FREE for 15... And not a single person decided to ask me for one...
So now I just sit back crafting food like a hermit and storing it in the house or my vendor... I think I'm up to like 45 crates.... Ohh man...
Hi again... Most of you have answered this so thank you. But if you happen to have one or more of the following, could you please post you prices for them. Thank you.
Tatooine Sunburn
Angerian Fishak Surprise
Breath of Heaven
Flameout

because that means you just want to get maximuim charges and not the best effects.
That's a false statement. I charge per dose and almost all my points on length of buff and how big the buff is. For drinks, I never put points into quantity. For foods, I make them at least stacks of 5 but only spend 3 points to do so.
Charging per a dose to me seems the best way. It works and it provides me with a buffer for when people make large orders and I then don't have to pre charge.
Okay... I guess I should share this in the hopes that it clears some things up... possibly...
The way I have been doing things for people that has asked for larger orders is that I customize each crate to how they want the points distributed.
As an example, most entertianers do not drain their enough points in their action pool to warrant a large increase to their stamina so a high charge Sunburn will benefit them better.
A combat class on the other hand can expect to get hit for a lot more at any given time so putting points towards the power of the buff may be more beneficial if they are expecting to survive off eating our food.
Remember to season your food at the end and not at the beginning... And always season to taste.
So often times, I will hand out my 9 charge to entertainers and my 7 charge to combat classes like pistoleers and such. Plus it never hurts to suit everything to a customer's needs and wants, we are here for them and not the other way around.
If you want Rakirian Burnout Sauce on your Xermaauc who am I to complain... I still make a sale anyways and I end up with a more satisfied customer...
Tatooine Sunburn - 200 cr per dose
Angerian Fishak Surprise - 9 per stack 67,500 per crate
Breath of Heaven - 12 per stack (with no points in quantity) 120,000 per crate Using Aludian pu36
Vercupti of Agazza Boleruuee 37,500
Ice Blaster stacks of 7 for 26,250
Corellian Fried Icecream 25,000
Ryshcate 25,000
Ormacheck 18,750
I sell at these prices. People come to my shop from other planets and like my prices.

Thats making the assumption that the chef is some sort of greedy monster.
I charge by charge and do not just pump my points into quantity, for some products I dont even bother with it, and use all the points for quality or duration.
yes chefs are greedy monsters who eat all the time ![]()
As for pricing its all about a mixture of things which include buff, duration, quantity, rappore, location, convenience and availability.
I wish all the chefs on Flurry lots and lots of high concentraton flora mining spots and even moe fun buffing the massesas our CLASS EVENTUALLYgets fixed.
