Ugh, Well 6 is always better than 7 lots. But whoa I have my small house = 2 lots. Then the rest of my lots are designated to my Floras, and I have one water, and one Gas harv. Sooo I have 0 lots left. Maybe its because I'm such a resource hog hehe I don't wanna give up them harvesters. But on a good note ever since the food bug. I have not sold or made anything. Just stocking up on crazy flora. I suppose bout the time cantinas go live I'll have soooo much stock of resources I could drop some of my harvesters maybe! LOL

How will cantinas help us? Are we going to be able to place vendor when were not in the game, so we are able to pedal our goods. The thought of a Cantina is cool, but most players don't hang out in bars in this game to drink a Tat Sunburn and shoot the breeze with other players.

I guess my question is, How will a cantina help the chefs out more that a vendor would as far as selling food/drinks? What are the benefits of owning one?

Ther must be some GOOD benefits of owning one if I have to give up more than half of my lots that I currently use to harvest the resources to make the food.

Well vendors are for merchants. And there's no reason for chefs to have a vendor more than any other crafting class. So if you want vendors team up with a merchant to get a bartender (or get at least business 4 which is, I think where you get non-droid vendors).

That being said, I don't know if this will screw chefs or help them immensely, but I have to say I'm jealous. I decided to sacrifice disciplines I was going to take in pistoleer just for the Merchant profession so I could buy a Cantina. Now, I can't without ALSO going into chef, which, frankly I don't want to do, because I want to smuggle. However, I do tend to think this can't do anything but help you, because chef's will have the only shop that doesn't just sell stuff, but also does something extra (ie. heal). So that can't be a bad thing. I tell you guys what though, once I'm up in merchant I'll see about going into business with a chef, and between my spices, and your drinks maybe together we can drum up enough business to run a kick ass cantina. Remember, this is what interdependency in this game is all about.

JTG, I think if you want a cantina, you mighthave better luck teaming with a Master Musician or Dancer. As great as it is allowing chefs to place these, the lot cost is probably going to be a bit much considering the class's harvester and factory needs. Even at six lots, that only allows one factory, and three large harvesters.

Unless, of course, you'd like toloan some of your lots for your partner's harvesters...

You know, it'd be a great feature to allow joint ownership of these bigger buildings. Have three people go in on a cantina, each donating 2 lots from their limit (assuming the cantinadoes drop to 6). I'm sure PA halls would be another popular split. They're, what, 7 or 8 lots? You could require the person placing the building have enough free lots for the initial construction, then divyup the ownership (each person automatically getting admin rights). The complications that would arise if one player canceled would probably mean it won't happen, though.
