You suck because you haven't broken your NDA aggreement and leaked all the new chef info.

That's my only complaint . But I guess that's with the necessity of the NDA and not with you in particular.

...and cycically speaking... if the correspondent drove off all the people that didn't agree, then nobody would voice their oppinion on this thread either would they?

I don't see any of that here. You're doing a bang-up job. Now if we could only multiply the effect of the Buffs by 10, we'd be all set.

You are doing an awesome job, IMHO, I was worried they would try to switch correspondents after awhile and I'm very glad to see you're still our correspondent. I have been a chef since the day of release (well, aspiring at first, of course) and I can't believe the amount of dedication and hard work I have seen from you SirVimes. I try not to post too much, but I wanted to be sure to post here. Thank you for everything and keep it up. We are all anxious to see what happens next. /curtsey

I'm a MDE, MA, MChef and this is the only forum I read on a regular basis. Until they fix droids its mainly people arguing about nothing and I don't go to the Aritsan forum cause well I just don't.

Your doing a great jorb there Mr. SirVimes.

I'll chime in

I concur with the glowing accolades already posted. I don't spend much time here and far less on other profession boards, but indeed SirVimes you do a great job with a selfless task that carrys no material reward and you stand out from among the other correspondents.

A couple of sidebars...

While Riis (or whatever his name was) seems overly negative and paranoid, his passion is clear, his concern is justified and his experience of favoritism seems clearly accurate (and not countered by any poster in the thread).Iwas stunned to see him take so much heat, and sorryyou got involved there too, Sir Vimes... I can understand wanting to defend the "office" but it seems clear that not everyone who has helda correspondent position has had thesame respect for the office that you do and the honorable scout correspondent clearly does. I'm glad you didn't get too caught up in thediscussion, no need to defend yourself - or especially a large groupof people (present and past correspondents), a couple of which didn't deservedefending. In factSirVimesoverall responseto that thread ismost admirable reaction I would hope to see from anyone: Going backto yourown board and asking for feedbackand/or criticism. Kudos.

So as to criticism? Hmmm... really hard to find any / not really in a position to judge....

I guess it does boil down to "as much informationwhenever possible" You are no doubt doing everything you can, but I for one amscared of change This post now departs from what you can do to what SOE can do pretty rapidly and I apologize... but I find it ironic, my chef business is really cooking now (pardon the pun) I can barely keep up with demand and at some unknown point in the (perhaps very) near future that could suddenly change... I have worked my butt off stockpiling resources for items that are my best sellers. I'm dying to know things like "is Fishak still going to be around and do the same thing?" and "will it be replaced by a better mind buff?" and, "if not, how much time do I have to make some extra crates?"

I realize the changes will very likely be a "good thing" overall, but dang... after suffering through a broken proff for months, to now be faced with so much uncertainty just when things were finally going really well...Its extremely nerve wracking and disheartening.

I'll complain (or cheer) as much as the next chef when they roll out, but basically I'd be OK with pretty much any changes as long as I have some time to prepare for the new reality (and to prepare my customers).

OK here's something specific and constructive (and that you probably already do):

I'd like to see a stickied thread for each and every piece of actual information you are allowed to disburse. It would be awesome to be confident that I could do a quick check of the chef board and know that no new sticky thread = no new information (ie never new dev info within an existing thread even if its "continued" or the "same topic"). This may already be the case, and just my personal lazy preference, but thats all I can think of

And I'd like to know, besides TC, what server do you play on ? - Just curious

Oh yeah and one more tiny thing (as if this post isn't long enough!) I DO like the bottle idea, for many reasons- 1) I'm loaded with inorganics, 2) we can make more servings, 3) we can have kegger's but one note to a comment you made as to servings being "how we price our goods" for me this is 95% not true. I get an occasional special order for high serving numbers, but my niche is definitely about buff effectiveness, duration, and when new changes hit, stomach capacity/duration. I would be amazed if the same is not true for other chefs as their market matures. The biggest market with the biggest bank account are the elite hardcore combat types. They care not if they need to buy 5 crates instead of 3 as long as the buff they are getting is the best possible.

Just an FYI in order that you may more effectively represent us (or me at any rate )

Thank you again for your hard work and dedication!

Ya, I have a complaint about you. I think you have too many opinions, have too many good ideas, and have way too much time on your hands.Oh wait....thats a list of what makes a good Correspondent.

Keep up the great work Vimes.

I have a complaint: I have been trying to get fruitcake implememted ingame for months, and you just blow me off, TAUNTING me with "and it ain't fruitcake" on one of your posts. Fruitcake is VITAL to "Star Warsy-ness" of this game, and you humiliate me in front of the thousands of chefs in this forum!

Seriously, one of the main reasons I enjoy being a chef (3 1/2 month master and counting) is this forum, and our leader/representative, SirVimes

I have a complaint:

You are too nice to the "how do i grind this crappy profession!" trolls.

Come on, I know you want to flame them once and awhile! Just let it out. It's not good to keep it all bottled up like that...
