Thread: Nerf casks, Hear me out.

In my experience it's variety, quality, and being consistently stocked that brings people back to your vendor (and referring others) - not the size of what you sell.
Yes, this is really the key for me as well. Offering as many different choices and staying stocked is the reason I get and keep my business. Even when my resources are low-stat, my customers will buy knowing that in a week I'll have the stats back up to par. Out of 200 customers so far, 150 of them have returned at least once in the last month and over 30 of them have been by weekly.

Having settled into the routine of post-patch chefdom, I've done a complete turn-around. I'd be far happier if containers went bu-bye altogether, and every stack had the same size (which would necessitate un-nerfing some of the 1-charge-wonders, of course). Durations are simply too long to justify the crates of 1975-count brandy we can pull, or the 2500-count thundercloud case I ran for **edit**s and giggles a few weeks ago. Repeat and consistent business is the lifeblood of a long-time chef.
I agree with the above poster on emptying stomach contents on death. I burn through alot of Brandy and would burn through even more in PvPer if you stomach would empty on death.
It makes absolutely no sense that it doesn't anyway. I also agree that a vendor that has alot more variety gets more business from me. I also won't buy Brandy that is not over 40 mins in duration. I would opt for a lesser buff for a longer duration just to be able to keep it constantly stacked. I really wouldn't burn through a shorter duration Brandy any faster than the longer one because your limited by the time it takes your stomach to empty anyway.
Variety though really is huge...I started just buying Brandy but now I buy Brandy,Ahrisa,Bivoli,Ithorian Mist,Blue Milk,etc...so I'm always coming back for something and I like to be able to buy all that from one vendor.
In my opinion, casked drinks are the only items we have that provide a reasonable benefit per item. I can carry two or three bottles with me and not worry about more for a few days or a week. With anything else I need to carry a crate and constantly pop items out. As a consumer, I think crates of small stack items are just annoying.
Large bottles may mean less frequent sales, but they are hardly killing my business anyway. I still sell more brandy than anything else, and probably at least 5 crates a day of different items, 10 or more on some days. And I still haven't had time to make several of the items I would like to, let alone make a trip to dantooine to stock up for another run of blue milk.
