Well, I'm sorry I wasn't able to give you the personal touch you were waiting for, but I do have some responsibilities outside of the forum. At first it looked like the BF answer would've covered you.

The digestion code is spotty at best. It's not really a timer, from my experienceit's more of a "everyX seconds, reduce the current filling by Y". But that reduction doesn't necessarily get done exactly everyX seconds. High lag areas (DWB andgeo caves are often-reported areas) introduces delays just because of the nature of client/server architecture, so the digestion effectively goes slower.

Also, trying to eat/drink something when you're too full also seems to add delays to the digestion, especially if you attempt the eating/drinking often (say every 10-30s). My guess is that the eating/drinking command resets the "wait X seconds".

Agreed, the world is against you. What do you want SciGuy to do? I'm sure he'd do it if he could. Instead of name-calling and degrading valid responses, do some more testing and post your results. Then, /bug it in game, post here, and post it on the tech support page - if enough folks respond and agree that your issue is valid, it will be put in line to be fixed. SciGuy agreed that the filling code is buggy, furthermore I'm sure he has mentioned this to the devs in the past. Instead of attacking, why don't you give well-documented screenshots or at least snapshots of the exact time, what your BF was at the time, what you ate, how long it was before you could eat more etc etc. Your case here is one of hundreds received every day - they can't take them all seriously as many are just confused players, many are not game-breaking, but, if it's valid, documented, and supported by many action can and will be taken. I know it's a lot more fun to complain and flame, but you're not going to get anywhere and since you're out the door anyways, you've already lost hope on this game so your post is a bit pointless. Cya.

Guys, let's lay off dogpiling Ribhog. It looks like that he just hit a frustrating bug and was looking for some input on what might be causing it. If someone has tried something similar (continuous brandy buff over the course of 1.5 to 2 hours), let us know if your experience is the same or different from Ribhog's.

It is possible that there was something changed in the digestion timer code that is showing up as a new behavior. Not all changes make it into the patch notes. I've got a sneaking suspision that the "resource shift between harvester visits = random resources in harvester hopper" bug from publish 10 got introduced due to an attempted fix for the "resource shift between harvester visits = no resources in hopper" bug, but no mention was made in the patch notes.

I must be a total noob because I always thought it took 1 hour for my stomach to completely empty. Can anyone provide me with a link that says otherwise?

Gah, for the life of me I can't find any way to look back through previous patch notes on the "updates" section of themain page. But here's a link to a post someone made on the forums, copying the patch notes.

And here's the relevent section:

Player Stomach: The stomach meters for food and drink now decay over a period of 30 minutes. Each food item takes up a % of stomach space that may be determined by examining the item.

The problem is that all our testing indicates that it's not 30 minutes, it's 45.

No link really needed, aprt from these types of things if you drink a 2 shots of 45m brandy your stomach is empty.

It may not even be precisly 45m, its just a rough coverall.

I know yesterday I drank 2 brandies as soon as my other 2 wore off for 2 buff session straight with no problems at all, and I was lagging a lot.
