Thread: filling issue

please forgive if this has been posted already

I have 49 filling brandy and eat 2 at a time

this particular brandy is 45.5 minutes and your stomach is supposed to empty every 45

for months I have been doing this and everything has been fine but recently (last few days or more) my stomach has been emptying slower and slower as the day goes on

heres exactly what happens:

eat 2 brandies for a total of 98 filling

kill for 45.5ish minutes then eat 2 more

by the time this 2nd round of brandy wears off (and rarely also on the 3rd round) I start to notice my stomach not emptying by the time the buff is gone to the point that i have to wait 5-10 MORE minutes to be able to eat 2 brandies

I suspect this has somethign to do with BF or wounds because until I have a nice amount of these the food digests just fine

this is NOT a display problem. I dont have a filling bar that goes outside its range.

This is an actual slowdown of the digestion process and is a game breaker especially considering that when my brandies wore off in the middle of defending my jedi last night i could only drink 1 more and had to wait for 10 minutes after I died to drink another (but full stomach on death is another issue all together)

Once again, this food is 45.5 minutes and in 100% of the cases it should be digested before the buff is gone if the 45 minute stomach rule holds true.

Can someone please get some 49 filling 45+ minute brandy and go kill for a buffset and confirm this for me?

Of all the people ive asked in game I seem to be the only one noticing this.

yes. high BF slows down food/drink decay. what i tell my customers is that it upsets your tummy, and you need to visit cantinas often

Ok but this is new, correct?

Since the chef revamp I have been drinking 49 filling brandy without a problem until maybe a week or 2 ago.

I have a 12 point chef account and make my own food. I have been on the same personal batch of brandy for at least a month and this has just started happening as far as I can tell. I was even eating my next round of brandy 2-3 minutes before the first wore off since they are only 98 total and I didnt have to wait for the full 45 minutes. But like I said, the last week or 2 have been *completely* different

I never saw this in any patch notes nor have I heard of it until your response so Im assuming its a new 'feature' that no one seems to care about but me?

And Im not talking about 700 BF here, im talking about 80 or 90 BF and I start to notice a HUGE difference in digestion

If this is the cause, then it's WAY out of wack. I had 19 BF and I drank two brandys (I was tumbling and needed to protect my mind) and it has been over an hour and I still have over 1/4 of my Drink full. This is, like the original poster said, a game breaker. This has been put in recently and needs to get taken back out. I'm on the chef boards for this very reason, to see if you guys know what the hell is going on. I doubt this is directly related to BF because I had 19 the whole time I was tumbling and it's still taking an hour and 30 minutes to fully empty. That’s just skrewed up.

Can we get a correspondent or something in here to tell us what’s going on? I can only play on the weekends because of school so I don't know when this nerf hit, but it has gotten me killed when I was counting on my brandy in the Geo Lab and my stomach failed me.

that one may be different. i know that your stomach doesn't empty right when you're spamming tricks to a pet. might be the same if you're tumbling? i don't know the reason for that one, i assume it's a bug, but i know that on different tune that i've had spamming pet tricks for someone to heal, eventually the drink and food stomach just don't decay and i have to log to clear it.

how long do you have to stay loged to clear out your stomach?

well thanks for the Non-Help guys. Funny how the correspondent can reply to a pricecheck thread twice while this is sitting unanswered. Oh my bad, there was an answer. BF makes your tummy hurt....

Since no one cares that you cant make it one full buff session without either visiting a cantina 2-3 times or just flat out stopping everything for 5-15 minutes to digest, then I no longer care. No one has any input other than some smartass answer that is less than helpful? No one has even a response to the effect that Im crazy and its been like this for a year (which it hasnt).

Ive been quite dismayed by this game for some time now and the apathetic mood around some of these forum boards is a perfect example of whats wrong. The devs are so far removed from what the players want its rediculous, and now the correspondents couldnt care less especially since they get vacations out of the deal as long as they stay on good terms with SOE.

Have fun being puppets and playing the way *they* want you to

What are you talking about here, and what do you want us to do? We are chefs not Devs, obviously we can't pull out the code and make the changes because you want us to. Its not like they feed us more info on this crap then you just because we are chefs. In all honesty, I bet chefs EAT less of their food then anyone else in game.

So the system is not working correctly for you and that makes Chefs the problem. On my combat toon, I never have seen this problem and I eat two brandies all the time, sorry that you are having issues, but not sure what you expect us to do.

What is with the have fun being puppets crap, you are playing the exact same game we are, you are playing the way they want you to.

Coming here and talking bad about our correspondant is just immature and makes no sense. He has no way of changing the code either, he is just nice enough to do this for us.

You should probably just quit the game, if it has been bothering you for that long then quit. If it gets to you personally and you hate the devs and correspondants ... then quit there are other games, maybe you will like them more.

I already cancelled but that isnt the point, and its for a million reasons not just this. I came here for an answer to my question and maybe an explanation. All I got was 'go the the cantina more'. My last post was pointing out that if you guys dont care about chef bugs then why should anyone else care. Just play with your new 'features' and sit back and take what the devs give you. Im not saying YOU need to do something, I was saying if you care then YOU AS A GROUP need to speak up about this kind of stupid garbage. Like I said, im cancelled and no longer care.

Trust me we as a group DO care. The thing is we get a post every few days about how filling is messed up/food nerf, and none of em pan out to be more then personal bugs. If we get to excited everytime someone says that their brandy isn't leaving fast enough we would be in constant panic mode. I am willing to bet none of us know why it happens, and if we knew a solution we would be fast to tell you. I think it is a bug that just effects certain people, and 95% of the players have filling work correctly 95% of the time.

Not a ton of people read this chef board and those that do aren't all every day readers. Beyond that, there are a lot of chefs that have no idea what you're talking about - it's never happened to me, nor have any of my customers with 4 different locations of food vendors and 200+ crates of food sold per week mentioned anything. This could be character specific or a new problem, either way this board isn't apathetic or unhelpful, I just find you to be overly demanding. I read your post a day ago but had nothing to contribute so didn't speak up. I am interested in your problem and am willing to test it out, but I can tell you I have no filling issues at the moment, but will start to ask customers to see if they've noticed any changes. Beyond that, demanding a dev respond to your one isolated issue is over-the-top. They're stretched thin and constantly under fire for a million issues at once, same as in every MMOG dev team. No one is ever happy, they never come out with new content fast enough, the game is always "broken" to half the population...
