Mando Wine Schematic is impossible to get if you are a pure crafter....trust me........( since the combat professions seem to think everyone has 20 to 30 million or more to spend on it.....I've never had that much but then again I don't overcharge the customers either. )
Exactly why the RIS quest is so great imo.
Of course it needs some tweaking as its hard to get what you need with no combat skills (well its impossible really) but the idea is a sound one.
Just some crafter content is needed, anything imo.

with rumors of upcoming nerfs to doc speed buffs and jedi force speed i highly doubt they'd make a move to add a craftable speed buffing food or drink into the game. personally i don't think they should be adding more stuff until they address the fact that at least half of the things we can make are completely useless.

Absolutely agree with this post. Some quest based content for crafters would go a long way to realising the potential of this quite innovative crafting system that we love to moan about

Valid points, but what i mean by RIS style quest is exactly that, a quest, or in other word, crafter content.
Even if you couldn't do factory runs of the food after you get and it and requires loot components like RIS, it would still be content, and having the schematic for the food, like mando wine is now, would be a badge of honour to show that you're dedicated to your profession.
I'd like for it be a cool food that would hopefully sell well, but when it comes down to stuff like this its more about the journey of getting the schematic and earning the right to make the food through a fun quest, than actually making the food itself.

QFE i was going to post it but you did it for me. Give us something usefull for chef last thing we need is more schematics of worthless foods.

I ahve already posted about this as has another Chef on my server. People are paying over 2m for this pie and this shows that is needed. It also shows there is a need for it in the game. Therefore it should be craftable and I know myself and several other CHefs on my server woudl do what we could to get hold of a schem for it regardless of the difficulty or style of quest.

Its overpowering and thats why they are paying 2 mil a stack for it. +40 to combat speed is a extremly large boost stack that with adren buffs and if your a jedi force speed and you are instantly speed caped. Its a 1 time reward to let you have limited use on a overpowered food.

why not simply change one of those no-one-wants/needs-it foods, for example scrimpi or havla, to give a little combat speed buff? 10% or something would be way enough i guess, to make it a bestseller...

why not? because giving crafters some content is so much cooler than just changing something
