adding this to the game as a reward for some sort of crafter only quest would be awesome. something like needing a chef, armorsmith, weaponsmith, architect, droid engineer, bio engineer, armorsmith, shipwright and tailor to make some sort of super robot that is controlled by the crafters and you need to kill a big thing. each different crafter profession would get a special thing to make and at the end the droid engineer would craft the super robot and then the crafters would man the machine and go and kill some rare beast or something. as a reward, each of the crafters would get a profession-specific schematic as a reward

Every crafting corre i know has been pushing for a RIS style crafting quest for every crafting prof.
This type of food would be ideal for that.

+40 to combat speed i think would be a bit much to beable to produce with no limit. It would be one of those must have foods. While it would be good for our pocketbooks it would not be good for the game.

Regardless though do you really think that all the Master Chefs in the entire galaxy could not figure out how to make this stuff ?
It should have never been added unless we could make it. It would be really cool if we had to /use the mushrooms to collect stalks to craft with.

40% is too high i agree. Which is why i said this type of food, not this food specifically.

No disrespect intended Higginsis but I disagree, there is already a precident for this type of high risk/high reward schematic. For chefs that would be Mando wine. The galaxies are not flooded with Mando wine because the schematic itself is quite rare, due to the difficulty to obtain it. If the quest for the schematic is difficult enough I believe such a high value schematic, with a usage limit like a crafted schematic, would be quite appropriate and an incentive to lure crafters (a lot of which are alts for combat based characters anyway) into some content driven, but more importantly for the community of the game, social or interactivegameplay. BoH, for example, by another name is not going to achieve the same level of interest. If you can already craft something similar, then the quest becomes largely irrelevant apart from the content while actually participating in it, which is fairly short lived.

I think this food could be easily balanced for crafting. Make it start as:
20% combat speed bonus/9ish mins/66 fill
Now you have a choice you can experiment the power, duration or filling.
Making chefs choose what stat to improve on will balance the food greatly, sure you might be able to experiment it to 40% attack speed bonus
but thats about the only thing you will be able to eat with 66 filling (just an example).

Valid points, but what i mean by RIS style quest is exactly that, a quest, or in other word, crafter content.
Even if you couldn't do factory runs of the food after you get and it and requires loot components like RIS, it would still be content, and having the schematic for the food, like mando wine is now, would be a badge of honour to show that you're dedicated to your profession.
I'd like for it be a cool food that would hopefully sell well, but when it comes down to stuff like this its more about the journey of getting the schematic and earning the right to make the food through a fun quest, than actually making the food itself.

Mando Wine Schematic is impossible to get if you are a pure crafter....trust me........( since the combat professions seem to think everyone has 20 to 30 million or more to spend on it.....I've never had that much but then again I don't overcharge the customers either. )
