Thread: Please welcome our new Chef Correspondent!
Hi SirVimes
I haven't choosen chef because of all the bugs, but I I've been waiting for something like this to happen.I will now start this profession and I hope all the annoying bugs will be fixed. I would like to summarize the biggest problems with the chef profession :
1)Harvesting mechanism ! need I say more. They can't be made. This makes it impossible to make medium or large flora harvesters. Actually this is an architect profession bug.
2) Milk and Eggs ........ Cannot be found orare extremely / unncessarily rare.
3) Factories. This is also related to the architect profession I guess. When making food in factories the food won't be made in stacks like it does when one craft it by hand.
4) UXP. Supposedly one won't get UXP for food. I've seen contrdicting reports about this though.
Congratulations! Better you than me? ![]()
Seriously though I hope this leads to at least a few of the changes we've been asking for... Can't wait to see!
Congrats SirVimes!
Look forward to see you compiled issues list.

Good to see we got a good correspondent. A few professions got people that based on their posts are very unsuited, so its nice to see that we've got a correspondent that can type clear english and argue points in a reasonably intelligent manner ![]()
UXP...my biggest complaint? High level tiers, giving diminishing buffs.
Several of the drinks in Mix III call for identical alcohols and planet specific resources, but only have like +60 stamina bonuses witha -90 to mind. What's up with THAT?
Congrats And welcome to the Position good Sir!
I have seen many issues addressed that I agree with so no need to touch bases there. And I am sure that since you are in the profession yourself you know many things already. The issues I have may be petty but I think it could add a lot of excitement to the profession and make it a lot more fun.
Cause and effect. I am not high enough up the tree to see what some of these foods/drinks can do, but I would love to see some of these alcohol drinks act like spice and incapacitate a player if they have too much Or maybe have them stagger around a bit, maybe it atomatically makes them puke. Imagine serving drinks in a bar, everyone is being social, one guy is getting plowed on your drink and next thing you know it brings up a message to the whole bar "John Smith Had a little too much!" And everyone sees him go down. THUMP! Incapacitated for a few minutes. That would rock.
Oh well here's to hoping.
I'll move the Soap Box now before someone trips.

And no, I am not going to include R2-D2 looking funky on my list.
