Gracchus,

It just seems that the two of you have different priorities in the profession. I can relate to the small diverse customer base, as I am similar. Each chef makes his own path. Though, it is obviously not your preferred method of doing business, it suits him well. I am rather similar to him in that the Bivoli is a staple. Then again, my clientele insists on having those enhancements. As for the difference between 3k and 4k, I have a better example. Those extra 3 hits can mean the difference when you're trying to shutdown the destruction timer on your detachment HQ. Then again, without a vendor to speak of, my only concern is providing for my customers' desires. They want it, so I provide it. In exchange, they always return to me.

not to mention if you hunt your own, a crate of Bivoli makes a nice presentfor that friendly furry doctor that buffs you for free all the time :-)

So let me see if i get this straight: a good day for you is to first spend all your money on meat for a 40 crate run of bivoli tempori which you then sell to your speceal "select few" customers, who then use it and buff you....so you can go hunt genosians. seems a bit esoteric and again not relevent to the circumstances most chefs face when looking for creature food and structural to make an Item thata miniscule percent of theclient base will find usefull ina highly defined set of circumstances

Huh? My combat characterfinances areseperate from my chef character . And while you may think Docs are a "miniscule" "special" group, I happen to believe that I'm going to try to make something for everyone, not just the stuff I use . Are you actually complaining that some people find foods that mostchefs don't sell useful? I'm fairly confused. I love the fact that there are so many USEFUL recipes now that everyone wants. You seem to beconfused that I actually try to meet the demands of my customers? My chef spends all his money on HQ resources. Yes, a lot of it is meat because I have to make BE additives to go into most of my products. 40 of 600 additive crates is not that many lol. Considering there are quite a few broken foods at the moment and I refuse to produce them to sell on unsuspecting customers, there isn't much left to produce with the HQ resources I happen to have stockpiled I guess thequestion is, what do you care what I sell if I can sell it? If other chefs don't want to meet the customer demand, I'll be happy to fill it because I try to have a large variety anyway.

yeah It would be more important to me to have 80 crates of enhanced garrmorl, won won andsynthesteak then to make crates for a select customer base. Eventually I may get around to it but before then i will have a large standing inventory of the broader use items and then the specialty ones.

My philosophy is that once I make something- it will always be there. I wont put anything on my vendor that people can buy one day and then come back to my shop to find missing. For me chef and merchant are equally important. As of tonightI will have 400 crates of enhanced vagnerian, won won, thaktillo, veghash, granlinyn, snowcake, accarragm, brandy, and synthesteakin about an even mix, and 400 crates of thier equivalent non enhanced (minus the synthesteak)

Next will be 80 crates of ithorian mist and garrmorl. then I'll see what else I believe to be worthwile and marketable

I didn't see this point mentioned, so here goes.

In the skill mods window, your wound treatment (at master doc) is listed as +100. with BE clothes, it is modified and looks like this: +100/+125

The cap for Skill tapes/BE clothes is +25, but bivoli works different from those. Instead of adding to the second number, Bivoli modifies the base wound treatment. thus, +25 bivoli would show like this: +125/+150

If you try and use more than +25 BE clothes, it looks like this: +100/+150

Bivoli has been tested by dozens and dozens of docs, it is confirmed to work.

I had a master doc on eclipse before hardly any one was using enhance d's and was very liberal with buffs. they were selling for 5k there. To be perfectly honest it irks the crap out of me every time I pass through town to see people lining up single file15 deep in coronet waiting for buffs they are entirely dependent on to continue adventuring. As the above mentioned in the thread w/out doc buffs you are screwed basically if you want to go hunt the big game. For this reason alone (the dependancy) I willnot patronize doctors. When hunting I'll do what I can with the buffs I can produce with chef. As far as creating food that will help doctors further influence so much player activity ....you can forget it. I was hoping chef would be able to equalize this distribution of power at least to that proportion of players who arent so concerned with killing the hariest mobs that exist.

The repeated anectodes of heroic soloing of these creatures I find a boor and I also find group cohesion and continuity in this game to be poorly lacking as compared to other mmorpgs. Classes dont combine to help eachother (roleplay) with specific strengths that cannot be done without on a group adventure. A doc or healer in an active group, indespensable to the "group" I would like to see and would appreciate. Not sitting in the city like a vip while everyone lines up meekly for thier buffs. So screw docs and bivoli tempori. Im gonna work with the chef stat pool buffs and make them available to the extent that people can learn to use them and rely on them to stay alive while adventuring.

With all this said I still enjoy the game tremendously. Itwas great in the beginning, has come a long way.I have confidence that it will continue to improve over time and remain a pleasure.

The nice thing about being CH is you need no Doc buffs and no armor. Very nice profession dispite all the nerfs. Unforntunetly need a couple weeks off of work and to be a master BE to have good pets now.Soloing a group of bull rancors with no buffs is quite fun.

Bivoli seems to be all the rage with Docs right now. However did anyone read the patch notes where the variability will be cut? Smells like a nerf to me.

Well, I've seen people saying it works and that they were getting buffs of around 3700 with clothes + Bivoli and 900 enhance pack. I made a run of 40. I'll let the doctors make the choice if it's too expensive.

Exactly. A recipe is only "unworkable" if the price its components command is too high for people to purchase it... I'm having no trouble selling enhanced Bivoli at high prices. Despite my intial misgivings about its efficacy, this is actually one of my most request non-Brandy products.

I made a full factory run of this stuff a few days ago. Probably sell 3-4 crates a day I would guess. 10.5 buff for 12? minutes. Its not too cheap at 1k per charge. Getting all the carn meat can be a pain at some times.

I plan on making this in BE form as well. I don't expect it to sell very fast though with heavy additives going into it. It definatly isn't going to be very cheap at 2 chargesper stack.

I will confirm though that it does work over BE cloths. A few docs I know swear by the stuff.

Im just buying the adds at 37.5 per crate. 120 crates a day for the last week so that's where my money is going rather than the meat. Dont belong to a guild or have a bunch of friends willing to go hunt meat for me .. your way ahead of me there.

ButI think yours is a special case and inconsequential to the issue of obtaining creature substances for many of the recipes. In my opinion there are a few much better recipes that can be used by a broader client base that require meat that I would make before I made bivoli for the doctors. I mean after 3k 6-stat buffs the rest is just hype anyway. 3k or 4k does it really matter? lol

Heh, I don't have friends harvesting for me, I pay well for the meat . It's funny how many customers keep asking me how much money I have. Last night I had 17K credits in my bank lol. I buy good resources as long as the money lasts . I don't have harvesters, but I'm seriously considering doing lot trades and throwing down harvesters just because hardly anyone offers the variety of High Quality organics that chefs need.

Difference Between 3K and 4K? Well, that's 3 more hits wearing full 78% composite armor and being hit by the genosian ranged attacks.

I've been selling a fair bit of this, some private orders and a fair bit on my vendors. I found it more economical to use meat that was giving a +80 nutrient (cheaper to buy) and work from there. Mixed with above average ingredients, I can get a +16.6 buff for 17 minutes. At 900 a charge, Doc's are reporting good things, with only 1 person saying it decreased his stats (maybe this bug ppl are talking about?).

I believe SirVimes confirmed that it stacks in a thread about a week ago. Basic statement from the Devs was that all food modifiers stack above the +25 cap because they are considered temporary boosts, and thus not seen as a game breaker compared to "permanent" skill mods like clothing/armour etc.
