all i gotta say is that trying to make a full 40 crate run of BE enhanced Vasarian Brandy is enough to make me want to throw my computer out the window.

How many steps are there? sure its time consuming but really look at the benefit you get now, it cant be that hard, try to make a full run of each buffable stat in enhance d's, my head hurts as Im math illiterate once I'm done but I dont complain as the money I make more than makes up for it. Plus the crafting part is the best part, it gets kind of mindless playing a combat main all day

I'm not using BE components.
I make a few crates of Alcohol. I make a few crates of Small Glasses... then I chuck the brandy in the oven and let it simmer for a couple of hours.
People are still buying the stuff. I don't care for the BE crap. Besides, can't find anyone to make it who isn't price gauging their butts off.

I was trying to use all 5 factories at once to juggle things and get stuff out faster. I realized that was really causing me most of my headaches.
Now i've gone back to running it all subcomponents to finish on one factory and if it takes 4 days to get an item out an certain so be it.

I love it and i hate it. What i love is hen new food schematics and the possibilities contained therein. What i hate is the time spent resource gathering and waiting for other people to do their jobs and huinting for stuff. with my holo professions all done now, i'd like to have time to explore some other aspects of the game, new combabt professions, poi's, stuff like that , but i seem to spednd my time looking for resources and stuff, which is beginning to be too much like work. Im not sure if i keep it, but i personally find little enjoyment in looking for Be's and Tailor's and Resource merchants and checking my factories and harvesters....it's too much like work, and i already got a day job. Im not sayin g that mastering chef should be easy, or that chef should be easy, it's just a lot of time to commit to chasing resources and harvesters... and im rich, so what do i need money for?
I love chef, hope to stay, but may seriously decrease my production level.

The reason the BE Brandy sells for so much is exactly because it take so long to make. Does everyone expect that they can put stuff in a factory come back 2 days and make 3 million credits off it?
I really enjoy the complexity. Like someone said above, you probably have to be more specialized now. Honestly I'm kind of glad that I'm not a well known chef(didn't do much before the revamp). It actually allows me to put 50 crates of brandy up and not have to make some for 2-3 days if I don't want to. Having a huge number of factories does help though(at 10 Food/chem).
Enhanced food takes a while because it is meant to be rare. If it took 3 hours extra to make food twice as good it wouldn't be rare. I have yet to sell a BE food. I will be making them at some point, but if it ever becomes a requirement that I can only make BE food to sell anything I will quit chef. I like being a chef, not a BEChef.

I have recently come to Chef after being a Droid Engineer for many many months. I don't think the chef items are nearly as complex to make as the DE items. I could very easily require 10 or more factory runs to make a finished product. I'm excited with the Chef items that experimentation actually matters (and the items for which it doesn't matter can't be experimented). It's great to actually be able to make better products by getting better resources.
