I still have mixed feelings about this but mostly do not like the new search.
I have a very large customer base and I have not had to advertise my shop by spamming for a long time now. I usually get 5-10 new customers a day, and have 10+ repeat customers every day. I rely on word of mouth for all my new customers and if people can go to a Bazzar and just look for whatever food they need then they will not have to ask someone "Where do you get your foods?" thus cutting into my word of mouth business. I can handle a few less customers but in the long run I may end up having to start spamming again so I can get the new customer business back

I love the new patch
was able to find 5k of milk for 4 cpu last night at an outof the way vendor.
and as for sales - up 100% over the last3days - sold a crate of vegasprine
think this patch will help out some of the vendors that arn't in the core traffic areas.
a possible work aroundfor your customerslooking for factory crates - sell a few singles - they'll see those, come in - then buy the crates.

I was only able to check it for an hour or so..but it would be nice to see you vendors name up there in the listing.
I was hoping to sell a bit more stuff, i've never really cared about big sales (avarage sale of 4 crates a day)but i would like to make a bit more money so i can buy some bases for the guild.
Most of the stuff i sell is very reasonably priced, but word hasn't spread, i gues my customers want to see my vendor stocked as always
With the new galaxy search i might attracked some new customers. I guess i'll find out today...

The way crates are lumped together is just pXXX poor implementation but then again the bazaars have always had this problem.
As the post above, the only way around it I found, so far, is to sell a few singles of each one of my products so at least the name (with stats) and price shows up on the food and drink searches.
I am also selling complete sets of wound packs but of course they show up as a travel pack...armorsmiths must be somewhat annoyed by that little problem.

I did a search on Wanderhome 8 hours after this went live and there were over 10k items in the crate category. I don't even want to think what it will be like after the weekend sis over. I have not noticed any change in sales for chef. I did notice an increase in sales to my Resource Vendor though.

I was very skeptical at first, however I am turning around in my opinion as I have made more in the last 3 three days than in the last month. The one thing I have noticed is that resources are going up in price. on kettemoor a fruit that was very good (aguem) was usually about 4cpu before the vendor search, now it is 7 or 8cpu.

I went to check this out today and discovered my own brandy on someone else's vendor. They are charging more than I do so I suppose more power to them. But kinda freaked me out for a minute, wondering why my food was there when I didn't enable my vendor.

My sales went through the roof when I decided to place about 500 singles into my singles vendor. Usually just put a couple of each item on there but figured most people click FOOD or DRINK under misc tab on search to see what is out there. Made a huge difference. Will definately have to keep that up.
Actually I am not a fan of the search feature. I worked hard to gain customers through great service and well-stocked vendors. Anybody that makes foods or drinks is now on an even playing ground that I worked my arse off to elevate. The sales are still there because of the hard work but most players are fickle and will run to whomever has a point higher here or a point lower there. Because I have tons of fruits and berries in storage...thinking of making a ton of brandy and canape and charge 25k for it just to show how the customers really are.
On second thought that would piss off my fellow chefs and that's not nice.

I hate it.....don't understand why it allows people to see whats on vendors that haven't been registered on the galatic map or trade system. Guess it was automatic since I am a master merchant.
My sales have bottomed out too, in the last couple of days. Used to have daily sales of close to 500,000 to million each day....now nothing!
And not as a chef, but as a Master Architect
