No worries...there are so few of us on each server that even the worst of food should still be sellable.

Start grinding with Soypro, make sure you eat your protypes (that adds 40 UXP). Eating your prototypes will not fill your stomach as they are only an additive. Climb the dessert ladder first, at Dessert III there is an even better grinding item.

Hello all

I know you guys have answered this question several times. So what is the best way to master chef? Right now i am working on novice chef, so anything from that point will be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Welcome to the profession, all employees must wash hands before entering the kitchen.

There's an FAQ in the "Read this" thread, which is an incredibly useful and well written document if I say so myself.

{take that with a grain of salt, I wrote it. }

That covers most of the nitty-gritty details, but the quick rundown for a pretty fast grind path is:

Novice Chef: soypro (don't use practice mode, make it and eat it for a total of 120 xp)

to

Desserts I: Pastebread

to

Desserts III: Kiwik Swirl.

Kiwik is the easiest-to-make, high xp item in Chef. No subcomponents, and all the resources needed can be obtained from a harvester.

Hi, I'm gonna start up chef soon, and wanted to know what resources I need, I assume organics. Any help is appreciated.

Berries, fruits, wheat, and rice, and oats....oh heck u need em all!! Really depends on what u plan on making. Popular food/drinks right now are brandy and canape (what i notice in my sales) and syntsteak...these need fruits and berries and vegetables (greens, fungus, etc). But fruits and berries are the big ones.. See whatz selling hot at your server and then harvest em yourself or buy em. But yeah organics plays a big role in the chef business.

It's true that you get usege xp when someone - including yourself eats one of your crafted items. The item must be crafted by you and not a factory, however it may contain factory manufactured components. Due to the nature of the chef profession, it's not really worth it to get others to eat your food for the aim of getting xp. Also you only get awarded xp when the final item of the stack is consumed, a stack of 18 brandy's would only give useage xp when the user drinks the last one, also the user must be within close proximity to you at the time (from how I interpret it).

As I mentioned, it's not a big bonus in terms of xp, where as in artisan you could craft bone armor and use it yourself to get a trickle of usege xp from combat. With chef you only get 1 burst of xp, normally not a great deal, However the Chef FAQ suggests grinding out Soypro in normal mode and eating it yourself to get 120xp (normally 80xp/84xp in practice). That suggestion is quite handy during novice chef to get your xp.

Hope this clears things up, if not, check the Chef FAQ, explains it better than me

They are used to create the Light, Medium and Heavy Food additives.

You buy the Bio Components from a Bio Engineer, then create a Food additive by adding water to it, then you can use the additive in your food, to enhance it. The quality of the water does not matter.

Common tissues are the nutrition ones, they usually enhance the Buff value of your food. They are called:

Micronutrient Supplement, they are the light version, value is around +55

Broad Spectrum Nutrients, medium version, around +85

Intelligent nanonutrients, the heavy tissue, around 115

Well almost. Just making some Artisan foods and need a Light Bio Food Componant, but can't find it anywhere. Who makes theses things? Would be a good idea to have who makes what in the item discription ingame, would make it a darn site easier.
