I have 8 factories and only had this happen once, and I ended up with more components that I orginally made, so it ended up in my favor.

Odd...I thought our current cap was 1000 items on the schematic and that it would be deleted when completed.

I haven't seen this problem at all. The only time the factory deletes my schematics is when it makes everything on the schematic.

my factory shut off when the output hopper was at 90/100. Crates were complete though.

Could it be maybe that the total volume of input AND output is 100? Would this fit with other peoples experiences?

I currently have about 60 in each hopper so that doesn't seem to be a problem. I always seem to end up with a crate of 1 or 2 extra. I don't worry about it. I kind of see it as getting my schematic sample back

grrrr maybe I just have horrid luck... yesterday I had like 4 factories that I couldnt run until I found somewhere to store what was in their outputs. And they were all 70 items and below...Ive not thought to check the input/output combo tho, Ill check that today. I do have a tendency to stick oddball stuff in the inputs for storage...like my pate factory always has partial crates of carbo in the input for making singles...hmmm

LedSyrus...Im still checking into this but so far it looks like you may be right. Ive one factory that stopped with 62 in the output..it has 38 in the input. Will be checking others as the day goes on.

Right now, on my factory the ingredient hopper is at 98% full...and I am still able to do full factory runs.

Same as Vimes. My ingredient hopper is my storage so its almost always at about 75%. I can still make full runs. Last checked, I was at about 75% on both output and input. Could it bea server only bug?

Occasionally my factories have become bugged also. At one point I could only put about 50ish items in the output hopper, but the input was loaded with 70ish items. The next server reset corrected it though...and I've had this happen 3-4 times in December...have not seen it in January yet.

As for the oddball crates, everytime it's happened to me was when I stopped a factory run before it had finished. I've also had quite a number of factory runs where I get extra. For me I've mainly noticed it with pu36s (my most recent one gave me 1008), but I think I've had it happen with carbosyrup too.

I haven't had problems with my input/output hoppers either. I keep my input hopper fairly packed, and I don't take anything out of my output hopper until I'm using it or selling it. I've easily had over 100 items between the two and things have still worked fine. It seems really weird.

On a related note, one thing I've been confused about is I can experiment on hopper size on factories. Afaik it's never effected anything, and the numbers it always shows are like 2000+. Could there be a bug on your factory deed or with the factory itself? I know I've moved my factories post-city patch and I haven't had a problem. Just throwing out ideas.

well it was just an idea but it sounds like it doesnt pan out. The only other thing I can think is that experimentation is affecting hopper sizes (on newer factories perhaps?) but that it isnt showing (hopper says 100 but is actually lower).

But then the problem is sporadic isnt it. Nikki are you now consistently getting the same max output hopper on a given factory or does it go up and down?

Pfft I dont know! Maybe its a nearby supernova or something mucking up the electronics!

I've been seeing broken crates but I haven't payed specific attention to counts.

I've noticed my factories/harvestors also have been occasionally swallowing power on me quicker than they should be. It'd be set for 4 days when I pay it then I come back the next day and it'd only have power for 2 3/4days. (Yes, I paid attention to the exact times)Nothing major. Maybe like3 to 8 hrs lost. Oh well, so is the game I've learned.

I'm still annoyed that you can't remove maint from a harvestor like you can a vendor. That typo cost me like 50k cash...lol
