Thread: Food factory possible problem?
I started noticing this happening yesterday with some small runs I did but justy thought it was a fluke. Last night before I went to bed I cranked up the factories and this morning this is what I have
Vercupti factory = 3 crates of 25 vercupti, 1 crate of 10, 1 crate of 13, 1 crate of 2 - Run is complete.
Muon Gold factory = 5 crates (was more) of 25, 1 crate of 6, 1 crate of 5, 1 crate of 2 and 1 crateof 4 still being built.
Ryshcate facotry = normal
Dough factory = 18 crates of 25, 1 crate of 12, 1 crate of 13. Run is complete.
Aludium factory (started earlier yesterday or day before or sometime lol) = 22 full crates, 1 crate of 1, 1 crate of 3, 1 crate of 24. Still Running.
Carbosyrup factory = normal
Starshine factory = normal
What is up with all these split crates? I dont understand what is happening but its a huge pain to have a bunch of oddball crates with factory runs..especially if you are making something when you have a limited amount of ingredients, say pate.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
ok one more thing then I promise Ill shut up...at least for an hour *laugh* I put in alu components to make a run of BoH. This morning...the remaining unused components equals ..Aludium A I have 1 crate of 19, 1 crate of 2, 1 crate of 1 left. Aludium B I have 2 crates of 1 left.
First, why the uneven usage and what happened to the rest of Alu B? Second, why do I have 5 slots of stuff instead of 2?
I've had output crates get split up when stopping/starting the factory a couple of times during the run. Especially if I switch schematics. I think maybe when you start the factory, it starts a new crate, even if an unfinished one is in the output hopper.
I have no idea about your input issue, haven't come across it myself.
FYI, if you're stopping the factory just to get to the output hopper, you can access it while the run is still going by just clicking on the "options" radial menu selection.
Factory Bugs I've Personally Seen Since the Last Patch:
I've had the uneven resource usage (In my favor)....A full run of protato should be 5k organic, 15k vegetable, but instead it used 15k vegetable, 4.525 organic. And my favorite, 940 vegehash somehow equal 475 vegparsine (crated correctly). GOOD
I've had a non-stop run split crates as well, last night. Jawa Beer: 12 crates of 25, 1 crate of 9, 1 crate of 3. It's the first time I've come across it. BAD
Twice now I've had my Aludium runs stop at 650 (and they won't restart until server restart...sound familiar to an old bug??). UGLY

Slightly off subject....
I've always gotten the output hopper by hitting ` then 4 (same as above, I think).
Is there any way to access the input hopper during operation? I'm guessing there isn't since the options selection defaults to output hopper, and there is no button for it during operation.
As far as I know, you can only access one of them, but to be honest, I simply can't remember which it is (it's not like they're marked in big letters INPUT and OUTPUT either which would be nice =/) The way you do it is like the poster before you said which is to select options itself - which is 4 if I'm not mistaken, yes.
Nikkii... boy now that you mention it - I have seen a lot of broken crates. I thought it was because I was stopping and starting my factories frequently, but it's also happened on full runs I've left alone - but not on carbosyrup. *shrug* Annoying, but hopefully *not* something that will be harmful - although factories may get fuller from it *sigh*.

oh in addition to that, how come the output hopper claims to hold 100 items but I always get internal manufacturing errors after about 60 items?
Im still having this problem...in fact on most of my factories now. I find that making 1 run of dough and 1 run of carbo to make air cake would be impossible with one factory if you couldnt store stuff in the input hopper. Ive got factories that are cutting off in the 50s now. The other problem Im still having but as prevalent. This is however annoying me to no end now. I doubt I have 1 factory that would hold 100 items in the output like it says it would.
I just ran off 1016 (with one 1000 run schematic) carbosyrups in 43 crates, I guess I'm lucky it wasn't finished product. I just /bug it.
