If its confusing what I said then maybe I didnt express it clearly. In any case I do not mean to offend you nor anyone.I take back what I said about you being a businesswoman etc. (butim not gonaedit that out)Everyone has their right to expresstheir opinion and gamestyle.

I do understand what everyone is trying to say. If im not mistaken, all other dependencies do not require quality components (except for master artisan parts to make crafting stations). However, im my opinion I think quality in cross-profession components should be added to a larger degree. Many of the talks about the Space Expansion and how we will be able to build ships require the cooperation between the Ship Builders, Armorsmiths and Weaponsmiths (possibly Elite-Elite professions). Now if the devs tell me that quality does not matterto make a laser or proton torpedo for a ship, then that would really suck and pull the fun factor from the game for me. To me, having to work hard to make the best product to sell to another profession is fun.

The difference between a quality component and one that doesnt require quality:

Quality: people willing to pay you for a fine product = Fun

No quality required: people asking you to make schematics for them = Not fun.

Thats my 2 credits.

I'll add that what I would like to see is less of awide of differencein an additive food and a non-additive food.

I really thing the DEVS need to get into this forum and read our posts from time to time and explain WTH they were thinking? SV dont guess you could get them to at least acknowledge that our shrinking population exists do you? or have they already completely forgotten us?

The whole point is how soon normal chef foods will no longer cut it.

I managed to get my hands on some Heavy BE additives... Holy crap. It more than DOUBLED the power of my Breath of Heaven. 116% better to be exact.

What does this mean?

What Vish is talking about is that soon a chef who doesn't havea BE or a BE additive supplier will soon find that those hunts lugging around 100K's from their time on missions won't want to buy your sub-par Brandy anymore... whats +225 to all Mind stats when for double the price I can get +350 or +400? What makes it possible? BE additives. THEY are more powerful than the Chef foods.

Their resources cost a lot, yes, but the power they can add just overpowers the chef TOO much. And once the big game hunters start going to the big game Chefs (those with BE components coming in constantly) you'll only see less rich fighters buying your food. If they bother either.

A good example of this is Doctor buffs. Now you can't even get going price unless the power on your packs is near 900. No one wants sub-par anymore, they want to solo Kryats and own whole spawns on their own without sweating. CM's, Medics, and Doctors who like field work were destroyed by this. Group combat is not longer even close to necessary or even HELPFUL.

BE components are more powerful than the Chef themselves, so soon it won't be us that make the difference, it'll be our supplier. And if Chef's are no longer the main devisor for the power and quality of food... thats when you're just an assembly line worker. No more gourmet cooks, we're gonna be Burger King burger flippers! Give us the meat, the bun, and the condoments, we'll slap em together in this order and POW, same old food for everyone.

Can we change "Master Chef" to "Fast Food Specialist"?

Fast food? More like slow roast watcher. 7 factory runs and you have to refil your factory once for 1 full schematic of vas brandy since BE brandy takes 160 crates to make.. factory only holds 100 hmmmm more proof that the devs have never played a chef on a live server.

Thats a good and funnyanalogy. We agree that additives is probably going to be a must. The question how can we change it to work better? Bottom line is BE additives need to be cost effective or else we are back to square one before the patch where no chef would use them because the effect vs cost ratio was not worth it. It still needs to be worth it for BE's to remain in the market. If you take the example of people wanted the very best doc buffs.. then they will still want foods with additives no matter what.

I think that the middle ground between using additives and not needs to be shifted. More power to foods and less to the additives.

I agree completely on the logistics point. Before the patch, I was making above-average foods; not the uber best, but high enough to get noticed by those who purchased my higher quality foods.

Now, my regulars come back to me asking if I can make '3 crates of Thakitillo with BE stuff' and '5 crates of BE brandy', and I have to tell them that every BE I have talked to says that the additives are just too time and resource consuming to make crates for me. I get the occassional single tissue, and I let my BE's know that I really appreciate the tissues. But when I tell my customers (well, would-be now) that I can only make non-BE brandy with a +220 buff at filling 50, they tell me 'Well I saw someone making +380 for 45 minutes, filling 45!'. Soon, I fear that this logistics problem will shut me down.

I was really looking forward to this patch, but not being able to see how it all works beforehand, I could not make a valid decision as to how I would like it.

I want to cry.... :*-(

You know, when BE tissues were finally fixed tailors were also afraid that now only BE clothes are worth making and the demand for regular clothes is going to drop. Well, that hasn't happened at all. Enhanced clothes sell very well, but unenhanced clothes are no less in demand. You said yourself, it's hard to find BEs that want to make additives and even if they agree it won't be easy to produce them in quantaties we need. As a result, enhanced food is going to be rare and very expensive so most players will have to buy regular food anyway.

if you have not noticed almost every major Crafting proffession relies on another crafting proffession in some form or another. As an Armorsmith I need Master Artisan and Tailor items to keep my business running. The purpose in this is to give BE's a market....You do not have to go master BE yourself, simply find a reliable one that you like doing business with. The purpose of this is to keep all crafitng proffessions busy and working TOGETHER to make the best products. In some cases I agree and some cases I don't. But in all respects even paying a BE for the pieces you can prolly still make huge profits
