"And for Soypro, what is the biological component needed for the optional 'additive' slot?"

Its called a bIo-Nutrient Supplement, created by a local Bio-Engineer.

don't make up unfounded rumours such as "you can get eggs by foraging around baby animals" that's lame.

Since farmers are gone we should get an option to "milk" animals like Bantha's and Eopies and umm other non-tattooine animals.

As for fishing I just let the line sit and sit until it says bite then i start moving the pole. I caught a fish though by letting it sit on bite? too though.

LOL....hey guys, a ranger checking in on the boards...

I am very intrigued by the chef profession being I LOVE to cook in RL and I am thinking about unlearning a ton of skills to actually pursue it in SWG.

Being a ranger, I have pretty good foraging skills and I for one can account for about 40 or 50 different forages from **edit** near every planet in the galaxy. I have never seen milk or eggs.

I guess my guy just stinks at fishing, i've gone thru like 9 pieces of bait with nothing to show for it. I was playing another character yesterday and finally saw some milk on the bazaar. Its under Organic food along with all the meats.

Maitenance for a farm? How about you just have to feed the animals to keep them alive. And after awhile they'll get old and die. Its a logical progression given the professions we have now. But I doubt any change will take place.

If it is a factory though, shouldn't the architects make it?

I agree with the herbivore/reptile idea for eggs and milk though.

I don't know if this idea has been posted anywhere, but it seems like a good one to me.

The Devs need to create a "milk and egg farm". It works like a factory. You build it, pay your maintainence, and instead of supplying it with power, you supply it with animals. You'd have to purchase or aquire animals from Creature Handlers or Bio-Engineers. They'd have to be herbavoires for milk, and reptilian/avian for eggs. Turn the machine on and voila, milk and eggs. I'd expect the animals would have a finite lifespan and could die faster if the maintainence is not kept up.

It seems like a more reasonable solution that random foraging. It's also more realistic that implementing a survey option.

Thoughts?
