Hahaha! Notice since his second reply that Kargos guy hasn't responded......Looks like he found his glasses and read the FAQ.
My turn to chime in on that Holo-Defender person.....
There is nothing wrong with defending holocroners when they are right, BUT in cases where they do not notice someing that DOESN'T MOVE they are WRONG. You keep saying that the post is moving, "In the top of the page sticky it NEVER moves unless our SirVimes or some other higherup moves it". Since you don't see higherups come here hardly ever, itAIN'T MOVIN!
Here is my solution.....We make a thread called "HOLOCRONERs check Chef FAQabove:easy/1337 grinding tips and macros." Once they see the 1337 they will be drawn to it like flies to a bug zapper then we canbeat them with spoons....err they'll be out of our hair. We then give this post 5 stars and float it to the top so that holocroners that aren't drawn to the mighty 1337 will see it as well.
I dont think Nikii is a troll at all.
You ask a stupid question that we see about 15 times a day, and we tell you to read the faq. Simple as that. You dont like it then dont post a repetitive question.

I hadn't responded because TartaroouChef sent me a private message on how to get myself started and make it through to Master Chef. The question was answered, I didn't really see the need to come back here and post any further. No one said THIS post wasn't moving, they said OTHER posts were moving, and of coarse this post will be at the top when people keep responding to it with information that doesn't answer the question in anyway. The thread can be locked, or deleted for all I care.
The SWGforums are the most hostile forums of any MMORPG that I've ever played, some people around here take things so personal, yet its just a game, and NOT your real life, though some people seem to act like it is, as you can see from reading over this thread. This is why I don't really post much, or read over them much. They are filled with people who cry "nerf" all the time to the devs, and people who are not interested in helping people, they are more interested in flaming people, and watching their post count go up.
A simple "Read the FAQ" responce to my first post would have been fine, yet Nikki responded with a remark that didn't help in anyway, or have anything to do with the question that was being asked. That is what trolling threads is, that is what was done, that is what Nikii is, a troll.
I'm done with this thread.

The FAQ at the top of the page...it doesnt move. Thats what I was referring to. But i see your reading skills are still at the same level they were.
Yay Im a troll. So how many other professions boards have you cluttered up with questions that were asked 5 times on the first page while the answer was stickied so it would be the first thing you see when you come to the board? Call me a troll if you want but at least I have a brain. You just waste space and make valuable information fall to the back pages.
And allow me to point out that no matter how fast this forum moves, that doesnt change the fact that your question was asked 4 times on the first page when you posted. Hmm I wonder how fast this forum would move if that question wasnt asked 4 times every day and hologrinder took the time to read the faq...hmmm novel idea

How does "I found that a pair of reading glasses helps a lot of people" refer to the FAQ at the top of the forums? It doesn't, a responce like "check the FAQ" would have been better. Has nothing to do with his reading, and everything with you being a jerk.
You are a troll, and someone that doesn't seem to have any sort of live other than this game, and these forums. You can't even let the guy make one final post to thank people without coming here and bashing him again.
He's cluttering up forums? Your one to talk there. This isn't the first thread I've seen you troll around on, and flame people for asking simple questions. It may have been a stupid question to you, but it wasn't to him. A simple answer could have helped him, and not have this thread turn into what is it now. Yet you just can't grasp that, you've gota have the last word to prove to everyone here that your the number one board jockey around here. I got news for you, no one cares.
Yeah you've gota brain alright. Seems more like a steaming pile of Bantha poodoo to me. Maybe you should try getting out of that cave more often and get some fresh air, and sun. Maybe then you won't be so cranky, and living your life through these forums and this game.
Will this thread die? I doubt it. Its now Nikii's place to prove that she is the all mighty board jockey, and no one will ask stupid questions on her forums, or she'll just HAVE to havea say in it!

I wonder if youll take your 3 post count that is all in this thread with your great contribution to the chef forum and shove off. Now I see why you responded like that.. Youre a holochef too.
Ive contributed a lot more to this community than you ever thought about. I really dont give a crap what you think or how you feel as you have contributed NOTHING to this community whatsoever other than trying to crown the holochef idiot regime. You dont know anything about this forum and you have the self righteous audacity to tell me to get lost? Yea youre a holochef for sure. Thats the whole problem. All you holochefs have no respect for anything but yourself, hence all your selfimportant posts where you cant be bothered to read anything first.

I just came to this forum looking for some tips, on food/drink buffs and noticed Tartaroou had posted here. I actually know this person really well, he was one of the first people I befriended in SWG when I first started playing.
He's a very good person, and one of the best Master Chefs on Starsider, not to mention one of the well known ones. If I'm not mistaken he was one of the first Master Chefs on that server, and has remained a Master Chef when everyone else quit. For a long time, his shop was the ONLY one around, or atleast that I knew of.
He's given a lot to the community as well, I'm sure just as much as you have Nikki. Post counts don't really matter, he does his share in-game. He's run several roleplaying events,I've seen him giving things away to new players, and he runs one of the most popular Cantina's in a player city.
You on the other hand do your community effort here on these forums, as well as in-game I bet. Either way both are very appreciated by the people that play this game I'm sure.
Now I'm not trying to get into some childish flame war, about whos better than who. But you said you've contributed a lot to this community, I asume that means by helping out people that ask questions, or are looking for tips on food/drinks and so forth.
Well Kargos came here looking for help, and you didn't give it. Instead you gave him some snide remark that didn't help him in anyway what so ever.
For someone that claims they've helped out this communtiy as much as you have, you would have helped him reguardless if four other posts like his had already been made, or that there is a FAQ at the top of these forums. You could have pointed him in the right direction, but you didn't.
As a someone who helps out the community as much as your claiming, you really droped the ball there. Not to mention you stuck your foot in your mouth by boasting about how much you help out this community and then not helping Kargos, who cares that he's got a holocron thats telling him to be a Master Chef, he came here to this community looking for help, and you didn't give it to him, Tartaroou did.
To me that shows me that you arn't the grand community helper as your claiming to be, if you were you would have helped him reguardless. Having a really high post count doesn't mean anything. One post from a person could help out several people, while four hundered may not have.
Oh well, I'm sure your going to respond to me with some hostile remarks, you'd be wasting your time as I don't intend to read any more of this thread.

And I'm sure you went through and read every single post on the chef forums that she has posted.
She has done more than enough to help those looking for help, where as your friend decided to bounce onto the chef forums and make insulting, flaming remarks.
I dont give a crap what your friend does in game, because this is about the forums not your server.
She has every right to be upset about the same 15 question being posted on these forums every single day because holocron hunters are too **edit** lazy and hurried to read whats right in front of their face.
Your friend has about 5 posts to his name right now 4 of those are flaming and insulting.
Actually, no I have nothing insulting to say to you thanks. You talk like a reasonable person. You didnt come here and proclaim that I needed to leave on behalf of the chef community. You came here and made an intelligent post. I may not agree with you, but I respect that you made an intelligent coherent post without calling people names whereas your friend doesnt seem to be capable of that.
While I understand that yes I could have given him the answer, what you and your friend dont realize since you dont frequent this community is the amount of problem this has caused for our forum as well as any other profession.
Being that you sound like an intelligent person, Im gonna go out on a limb here and say that if your holocron told you to master...I dunno armorsmith (assuming you arent one now) that if you didnt know what to do, you would probably try to research it yes? You might go to the armorsmith forum and maybe read the faq? Read a few posts? Maybe even a few pages of the forum if you are getting good information. Well what is happening and has been happening every single day since holocrons started is 4+ people coming here and posting that exact same question. They arent taking the time to read or even attempt to look for what they want to know. My gosh weve seen the same question titles 10 mins apart.Its almost like they click chef then immediately new post. And we all helped the first 50 times it happened. But our forum is filling up with this junky post. Not this one per se but this exact question over and over and over. Then we want to find information that is important to being a chef, we have to wade through 5 pages of the same stupid question. I call it a stupid question only because the answer is permanently placed as the very first post on the board.
A) holochefs are not reading the board at all in attempt to figure out what they need to do, not even *one* post.
B) They are expecting chefs to take 15 minutes of their time to answer this question for them because they are somehow special and feel that maybe no one has ever asked this question.
C) They are making the board harder for us chefs to use and harder infact for themselves. Every day they push important things further and further back on the board where it is out of site for and for them. IE they are making their own problem worse and ours as well.
D) Coming to a forum and posting before reading anything on the forum at all is in very bad taste.
While I understand that you and your friend think wow that nikii is a witch look what she said, what you are failing to realize since neither of you have never been a part of this community is the problems that we are encountering because of holochefs. You come here and make a split judgement but yet you nothing about what goes on in this community. If you bothered to browse a bit you would see that yes I have helped holochefs, Im quite happy to, If they show enough respect to not abuse our board or the chefs that post here. If they come here and say, I tried to find info but couldnt find it or I read this but I dont understand...Im there, Ill help. If they come here and say tell me how to master chef, what do I need to make, how much exp per combine is it, how many resources do I need to master, how many harvesters will I need to get those resources, where are the waypoints to these resources currently so I can get them and what are your best sellers so that I can make a bunch of schematics while Im master. Well then they can go elsewhere for their information. This shows a total lack of respect for your fellow players.
And if you will notice before the holochef felt he should call me names.. I didnt give him an exact answer and I didnt tell him get **** off this board like I wanted. I told him to read. While I didnt answer his question exactly, I did give him enough information to find his answer. All he had to do was look at the posts stickied to the top of the page...That is why we stickie posts right? Cause they are important? So because I told him to read Im a troll and pumping up my post count and all the other numerous names your friend called me.
Frankly, your friend made a snap judgement about somthing he knows nothing about it. And he was rude as could be when he did. IE he broke out the name calling etc. In his first three posts hes managed to be so rude that he was edited by a moderator. Thats not even considering that well, everything he has ever posted was useless arrogant drivel just like this entire thread. If you dont have a history with a forum or at least have a clue as to what is happening, then you probably shouldnt immediately pull out the I speak for all the chefs card and the name calling card. Your friend doesnt speak for anyone here. Your friend and the holochef came to this forum and filled it up with a bunch of hostile crap. This forum was a very very pleasant place until all these people that are so lazy they want their information spoon fed to them came around. There was never name calling here. NEVER. Lazy people coming in here wanting their personalized chef exp plan caused all this. Hate me love me whatever, I dont care but what I said is true. If you or your friend were a member of the community wouldve known the problems this has been causing for us. Obviously you are not and do not. I would suggest to your friend that he get a little more information before he goes around calling people names. Though truthfully I would suggest he gain enough respect for people to not call them names.
