Behold Vasarian Brandy

2 of these will give you +400 Mind, Focus and Willpower (Yes, all three). If the chef is good, you will be able to drink 2 of these every half-hour, and keep the buff indefinitely.

And your stomach wil be empty for food (not drink) buffs.

That's nice ... but right now I can eat 2 Glucose Pastes to buff Mind & Focus for 600-700 total, and a Fishak for another 400-500 Mind ...

Is there a mind-buff food I'm going to be able to use in conjunction with this brandy to keep a continues +1000 mind buff, as long as I'm willing to pay for it?

You know what, there are no foods that boost mind. Only drinks.

You can take 2 Ahrisa as well to get your focus up another 400.

NERF!

*sigh* I was afraid of that .....

Did you happen to see the patch notes regarding DOTs?

DOTs now take armor into account. There is chef food to reduce DOT duration. So good armor and chef food will help PvP quite a bit.

As far as buffing mind 1000. You'll have to talk to a dancer about that. And Give them some food to speed the process up *wink*

The brandy looks great, expecially the duration. But the problem is that the other foods/drinks only last like 15 min with another 30 min digestion period.

+400 focus does nothing for me, save letting me wear armor like it wasn't on, yet my specials would still do 150 to my own mind (I start out with 800 btw). I need at least 800 from chef buffs to be able to shoot more than a minute. Curses!

Ok, so here is a question for everyone: Brandy or Milk?

Im debating with myself whether Vasarian Brandy or Blue Milk is better for combat. One gives a permaneant 300-400 buff to mind, focus, and willpower, while the other gives you the ability to heal 350+ mind 3-4 times over the course of 45 minutes. I can see both being useful, but I cant quite figure out which one I would like more.

Any thoughts?

Try both. With a Brandy filling of 40, you can drink two (putting you at 80% full on your drink bar), and you'll have digested enough to drink a single milk with filling 33 in 5-6 minutes (the stomach does decay gradually, assuming something forces the refresh). If you plan ahead (since I doubt5-6 minutes is an acceptable wait during actual combat)that'll give you the 3-400 buff to all three mind stats, with an emergency heal of 350 should you need it. Of course, then you're completely full, and will need to wait 15 minutes before you can drink another Blue Milk.

One thing I feel the need to point out, is that most of the PvP players on my server ALWAYS request "duration over amount of buff". I personally am chef to about 20 PvP'ers on tempest, most of whom are verterens blah blah blah. Either way, straight from the folks who have made me rich in the past, they say that if the cost of having foods last longer, is that they buff less overall, then that's the cost they are willing to pay. I mean come on, EVERYONE will still be on the same page, it's not like some players will be taking food that buffs mind by 1000's, while OUR customers are left bleeding out. And seriously, how many players sit in the cantina to get that uber mind buff? I would put the number at zero on my server. Let me say this slowly, so those who like to panic and cry nerf at everything can read it :

MIND BUFFS ARE ALWAYS GOING TO SELL! HAVING THE DURATION INCREASED WILL MAKE THEM SELL MORE!

cheers!

SciguyCo, HoFChaos, both very good points.

My favorite part about the whole revamp is the felxibilty it provides. With foods not filling the entire stomach, there's so many possible combinations.

lets also not forget that before too long Mind won't be the combat-bottleneck it used to be.
