Hey all,

Just got a letter from Q about the correspondents.

"Just wanted to touch bases with you all and let you know where we are in the process. We have collected all of your issues and put them in a bullet point list. We then have 3 separate meetings (crafting, combat, other) with all the designers to go over the bullet points. We refer to your email for clarification and suggestions. I take some notes to send back your way for you to take back to the community.

Given the huge Test Center update of this week, we are a little behind on these meetings. Our response time will become better as we get used to this program. Please accept my apologies for the slow start.

How you can help us:

Hold off on sending a new report until we respond to your last one, otherwise we won't be able to catch up. Also it would be very helpful if you formatted your reports something like:

Subject line: [correspondent] Bounty Hunter Report July 28

Body:

1) write one sentence that succinctly sums up the first issue (this will become our bulletpoint for the meeting)

Paragraph on additional description of the problem

Paragraph on suggested solution (which could just be "please fix")

Links to any relevant threads if we need more info"

And then there is some stuff about floating threads and encouraging to communicate with other correspondents.

Anyway, just thought I would pass it along.

One more thing (anybody else watch the jacky chan cartoon show?),

I also know from other correspondents that we will be getting a reply to the first report I sent in.

Of course I will post in, and then I will make another draft of the correspondent report once I have a better idea of where the developers stand on the issues.

I just wanted to say SirVimes, thank you. It's an additional responsibility, and quite a bit of work, and I, for one, am very happy with the job you have been doing for all of us in the profession. I sincerely appreciate all your effort.

Yeah I wouldnt mind SirVimes staying on for another month, I think we can get more accomplished that way then switching off every month. Besides he's doing a great job now.

Thanks for the update, keep up the hard work (I don't envy your position). With any luck, they'll implement a page where we can vote on some of the major issues, like duration. It would need to be through the station, so people couldn't post without an ID. But this is a topic for a more general forum, so I'll shut it now.

Yeah Buffs and Durations is almost a big enough problem to take up a whole report. Probably more constructive if we include solutions and reasonings, otherwise the dev's will have to do it and we will wait yet another month and a half for a change.

you could make your own chef only web page with a beter board and make a sticky link at the top of this page

then post all your polls there where it can actually tally the votes and such

i nominate sirvimes for reelection, i think we should be able to choose our correspondent.

so we can give possible solution to our problems? thats great! i bet everyone has lots of idea but anything should be better than what it is like now

That is one thing Iam a little concerned about. While we all can agree on what the problems are, can we find possible solutions that we can all agree on? Dun dun dun duuuuuuuuun!

sirvimes, post a sticky thread regarding one of the issues on the last report. i think it would be appropriate for the topic to be buffs and durations and how they should be fixed. read the suggestions that people have posted (and future posts) regarding possible solutionsand come up with several solutions and we can vote on them. i hate to give you the extra work but that is my suggestion and the best way (i can think of)of having all of us agree on the same thing ( or a majority of us anyways).
